The guys over at Unknown Worlds have just deployed build 194, titled "Gorilla". In celebration of this release they've also release a new three minute trailer which is sure to impress fans of the IP and sci-fi alike. The Natural Selection 2 dev team has sent word that they've just pushed out a big update for the forthcoming shooter in the form of build 178. A new map, bloom, ARCs, a new Fade blink, phase gates and more have been added. They claim it's the biggest patch yet, and have a neat video to back that up.....

The Natural Selection 2 beta release was about as bad as any we can remember. Thankfully, the guys over at Unknown Worlds have been hard at work getting all of the real concerns resolved, "it was a long weekend but we think we've gotten all the biggest problems in the beta fixed!" For those that previously purchased the now unavailable Natural Selection 2 special edition, tomorrow you'll be granted a beta key and the opportunity to start shooting some alien face. As per the alpha, the beta will be available through Steam - so make sure you're checking your games library for the key. In the meantime, we'll have a look at what's required to get a server up for you to play on, if that's even possible....

What a huge day for some healthy marine vs alien action. Unknown Worlds Entertainment had a bunch of us feeling quite nervous for quite a while - what with their privately hosted Natural Selection 2 pre-order system and no announcement about method of delivery. Thankfully, they've now come out of the woodwork and announced the game will indeed be available on Steam. Not only that, but existing pre-orders will be transferable to the popular Valve digital distribution platform......
