would like to register for 8-9th Nov. DGA,
hope the list is going to be re-done.

Post 2

why would the list be re done?

Post 3

I think he means, would it be worthwhile him turning up at the hope of getting a spot, and what would be the best time for turning up without registation.

Post 4

I believe he means, that a few people will no longer beable to go to the DGA24 due to work, family, or social Commitments as it is now moved by a week.

I know some people that have booked this time of work a month ahead and now have issues with being able to make it now.

So he is putting up he hand to register in one of the soon to be empty spots.

Post 5

would like to register for 8-9th for DGA as i'm sure a few people might not be able to make on those days.

Post 6

That is the responsibility of those to unregister themselves. By pm'ing Neo and he can do it.

Post 7

But people like myself arent going to unregister themselves, just in case.

Its selfish i know, but i registered for it caus i KNEW i could make it.
I am not certain now, but there is a very slight chance i could make it on the 8th and 9th, so i aint gonna unregister myself.

You could always rock up and hope for the best :D

Just out of interest what is the maximun number of people that the DGA network can handle?

80 is sort of on the small side, 100 would be such a nice rounded number.

That kind of question can only be answered by Coco on the day.

Post 10

80 is all DGA can handle at present.

The Venue can handle larger but at the moment we are only doing 80 due to networking issues that are being worked on.

Post 11

You mentioned it so I asked....

What issues are they?

Post 12

Switches

Cables

Tables

Besides the fact, that the problems are being worked on, just not to the speed we would like, but everything comes down to money in the end.

Post 13

The list should be reset, it's as simple as that.

Thinking all registered users who can't make it are going to take the time the private message neo to be removed is asking too much of the public, esspecially the ones who aren't as active in the scene or these forums as others.

Thus, making it unfair on those who are going to miss out on a registered spot.

Post 14

Or perhaps a re-activation email sent to the registered ppl.
I agree with rec.
Give the pre-registered 48 hours to reacticate and confirm and then open up the remaining spots.

We will take this to the admin boards and get back Asap.

As for other questions.
Maximum we can handle :120
Maximum we can handle well: 80
(network)

Reason: Lack of switches, being rectified after next DGA./And/or switches with big backbones.
Believe me this something we are working on.
3? lans ago I fixed a total of 4 problems PC's total. It was 76 ppl
Last lan I did about 4 hours of gaming in 2 days, the rest running around. 105-110 ppl.

Have a guess which one i'd prefer :)

u stole my thoughts :P
yeha anyways i agree with that coco
i dont think the rego page shoudl be restarted again tho

and milly u prick if u are like 90% sure uc ant make it then unregister i bet u can still get a seat if u end up comming
u might have to pay a bit more tho :P

Post 16

At the moment there is nothing we can do to the rego list due to other technical issues, that is out of our hands.

Post 17

Maybe next time you should consider leaving the un-register option on the rego page .(unless it being removed had something to do with you not being able to touch the rego page atm)

Edit #42422, Sorry I edited while u replied and I cant remember what I orignially wrote. I take to long to edit, this post is now official screwed, Lets move on shall we? ok.

Yeah that was something that happened by accident. We thought we tested everything - obviously missed a logical error when the list gets full.

It will be back. When we get our grubby fingers on it.
