Dudes is it just me or is the list of registered people not sorting by order of registration...? Seems to be sorting by name.

Not that this is really a problem I guess.

EDIT: Doh didnt see the reply before I edited the first time. Now I look like an ass. Again.

Post 17

I hate living so far away  I am hoping to be able to come to EVO4, cos that's another 2 months away. Enough time to save money to go there. How much do you reckon it would cost to get there, from Sydney? How long do you reckon it would take? Geez... I will probably bring a few Cr@zY people with me.

Post 18

I will be there. :D

My birthday is the 7th so lets get pissed :P

Post 19

Are you coming by private jet or bicycle? there's a few variables here.

go by virgin blue
its shit flying but at least its cheap and your only gonna be here what 3 or 4 days

Post 22

i've always found qantas to be cheaper than virgin blue, hm

Post 23

Considering what you get with QANTAS when flying with them. QANTAS IS CHEAPER. Every year when I book my flights around the place. It is always Qantas cheaper in the end when it all adds up.

Post 24

Hmm k didnt know
Well my parents thought it was cheaper :S

Post 25

It all depends where your coming from or going.

Post 26

last year a return flight from darwin to melbourne was cheaper on qantas than virgin.

about 3 months ago, darwin->melbourne->sydney->darwin was vastly cheaper on qantas than virgin.

strangely, that was also cheaper than darwin to melbourne return.

Post 27

Intrigued by the comments posted here (and being a supported of VirginBlue over Quantas), I decided to have a quick check how much it would cost me for a return flight from here (Darwin), to Melbourne, with the CHEAPEST flights available from both airlines.

With Quantas, I would have been looking to pay $993.82 return, where as VirginBlue was $715, thats a saving of a good $278.82.

On a side note, having used both Quantas and VirginBlue websites to book airfares, I found it much easier/simpler/less time consuming to use VirginBlues site.

Anyway, each man to their own. If you love Qantas, so be it. I just couldn't let this thread go past without any VirginBlue support.

My 2c.

Post 28

i got my ticket from Darwin to Adelaide returned, for $450 :D
oh thats Qantas

Post 29

Ok now back on topic of DGA ..

Post 30

there's no rugby, so no need for my projector :)

Post 31

yeah ok, on the subject of dga, whats the damn ruling on speakers?

Post 32

please no speakers!

Post 33

PLease no projectors!!....oh wait...burk's not bringing his.....problem solved ;P

Post 34

Speakers as stated in the DGA rules and FAQ and not too be brought ..

If your only way of getting sound is speakers well then you are going to need a $20 pair of headphones .. We dont usally crack down on rules like this but of recent I aswell as other admins have had numours complaints about those with speakers .. So go spend that $20 and get a cheap pair.

Anybody with speakers will get the 1st warning to turn them off 2nd .. well lets hope it doesnt come to that

i'm no trouble maker! i was willing to set it up outside for the rugby :P

for the moment, i agree projectors shouldn't be allowed.. no room.

Can we please support this ruling them, cause at DGA24 the ruby was only for an hour and a half, why bad shooting noises were all-night long for one young individual, even after asking him to turn it down.

Post 37

DONE

Post 38

thank you!
**sticks a reminder on his PC not to bring speakers!**

Post 39

No speakers. I normally plug my head phones into my speaker because my cord doesnt reach around to the back of my PC. You would only get in trouble if you where playing sound through the speakers right?

Post 40

correct .. speakers will only be turned off on you if sound comes through them .

Post 41

It might a good idea to just invest a few dollars into buying an extension cord for your headphones. Saves any possible issues and temptation to use the speakers at lans, also saves lugging the speakers around too.

Post 42

$7.50 i think.. at hardly normal. 3 m extension.

Post 43

Dam I can't register cause there are too many people... Are there plans to open it up to 100 person's?...

Post 44

i thought it always was 100 person :/

Post 45

i can't register either :( *sniff*

Post 46

lol, should pay more attention ph3n ;)

Post 47

whats attention?

Post 48

its what you pay when you play DC (or whatever is your poison)

Post 49

DC... DC!?!?!?!!!? WTF ARE YOU ON!!?!!?!?

Im a CS man, always been a CS man ;)

Post 50

lol, always a cruiser man

Post 51

always _BEEN_ a cruiser man

Post 52

CS pisses me off.

Post 53

Just for some clarification... if your unregistered... is that $25 for both days?

Cos if thats the case... then I don't get it with full rego and most people gone by end of the first day when its cheaper for 1 day and better for those who actually wanna register for discount... :?
(Yes I am bitter I missed out on rego)

Post 54

The Rego page has 100 spots now.

Post 55

doh... gets spot 101 >< and best mate 102 :|

That'd have to be a first for me, be late to register :P Oh well Crazy!!

Post 56

That 101 and 102 is the ID fieldQuote from Jay:
As a someone who took part in creating the rego system. The ID field IS NOT a idea of what number order you're in for registered. It is just an unique indentifier field to keep track of applicants for registration (not any bearing to confirmed or not)
From here: http://www.gamers-underground.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=12967&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=20

You've confirmed and are on the list (97/100atm) so you should be right to go.

Please correct me if im wrong admins.

Post 57

Wow, someone actually reads what we say. Amazing! :)

Post 58

All posts are filled, nooooooooooo!

Well, damn.

I have a question... there are several people who havn't confirmed their position: It's only a few days until the lan, can we clear some of those people out for those of us who actually intend to come? :D

There is 100 confirmed with those that havnt confirmed meaning more the 100 names are actually there, meaning those that Arnt confirmed will not be prioritised a seat

Naw dont like to listen :P Things would be so boring then

Does anyone know what language the above sentence is in? I'd like to feed it to a babelfish for translation.

Post 63

its not that hard to understand, if you're half as intelligent as you make yourself out to be you'd realise he's just saying if you aren't one of the 100 confirmed registrations, you may not get a seat.

Post 64

100 people confirmed
OVER 100 people registered.

leaves 'x' people registered, but not confirmed.. those people will not be prioritised a seat, meaning that if all 100 confirmed people turn up, and we've got no room left.. out go the people who have registered but not confirmed first...

So does this mean I get SperO's spot? o.O <easily confused!>

No dude, Extarians (no. 80)

im gonna be at the lan kicking everyones butt at .. something ill think of it later.

Post 67

Looks like this LAN might turn out to be rather big. :)

Post 68

unable to join you guys this weekend so i just un-registered.

Post 69

Quote from swisso:

smart thing to do
then people who wanna get in can

Post 70

Damn that position went fast.

I say again, do you reckon we could clear out the unconfirmed people every day? So that you have a day to confirm?

Three unconfirmed people ATM... would love one of those spots, considering the LAN is tomorrow. :D

Post 71

Ugh.

It doesn't matter if theres a thousand unconfirmed people on that list. As long as they are unconfirmed they will not be considered 'Confirmed registered participants' (This is fairly logical, right?), thus not adding to the total amount of Confirmed registered participants for the DGA event.

Post 72

Ah. I see how it works now. Gotcha. :P

Post 73

Should be a free spot to be "confirmed" now. I'm not attending, although i'll come down so scott and kurt can bash me up :P
