i pretty sure (dont quote me here) that the army is actually considering the european Tiger helicoptors and if we're lucky, will base them at Robertson Barracks....

Thats what I heard as well about the Euro-Tiger. Also it is looking like we will be picking up the Leopard IIa3 from the swiss army instead of the M1A* from the US.
Something like the Australian Defence Force doesn't like the logistical nightmare associated with operating the Abrams MBT is why the ADF is steering clear of the US MBT's.

Yep you are correct Jeat.. Currently it looks like they are still planning to have the choppers situated at robbo and they are getting the leopard 2's.... (They have airconditioning :P ).
