Now you can with the
FPS Accelerator Script i made (got ad?)
just download the attached file, put the .cfg file in your cstrike directory, go ingame and type "exec fpsaccelerator.cfg".
bang. 250 fps. YAY.

cheap - only does it cos your in dev mode, turn it off and back to normal - so in other words the script sorry to say does about #### all :D
Also Smiddy, try looking away from that huge texture on the wall, "0 your fps drops ALOT from 250 :)
Hmm ok I see it's still dependant on your refresh rate, so if you have vsync on it'll cap at your max refresh rate - 144fps in my case, turn off vsync and yeah maybe go up :P

Why people get jollies about ridiculously high frame rates is beyond me anyway... you're not going to see any more than your resolution refresh rate.
Cant your eye only see at 30 fps?? So whats the point in having over 200??

i know your eye can see 24fps and below as jumpy.
its 62Hz. (which is 62pfs)
but the higher you go upto 100 there is a quality change. big difference in CS between 60 and 100. not need for 100+
and having vsync off is yucky
60-100 fps is fine for me.
i guess its on how good you are as a player not as much fps you get :)

yes the advantage however to having higher fps is that the cs engine runs slightly different, notice your crosshairs go in quicker the higher fps you have... and a few other subtle changes aswell...

Your right pala, but for ages now, I have watched smiddy get ridiculed in these forums. Sure some stuff was deemed to come under scrutiny but now he has actually "turned the tides" if I may and done something contructive? and hes is once again riduculed.

Yes I probably did make some toungue in cheek comments on some of smiddy's earlier posts but I have never rubbished or critisised a genuine useful type post - smiddy's, yours or anyone elses ...
My point was just be careful when having a go at someone - make sure it is well justified and not just shooting from the hip - some very fragile personalities here ... :)
