Okay, thanks to rec, im totally hooked on this phone. What I'm after is a price?
Alternatively, can anyone offer anything that is better in comparison to this phone and worth my while...
I have a Nokia 8310 at the moment. It is just too slow. It was considered fast, about a year ago... I need something better.
The Sony Erricsson P900 would be a better all-round communication device, however it's a hefty "500.
Oh shit! I hope the 6230 is nowhere near that... I'm willing to spend < $600!! Otherwise, I guess I will keep what I have :(
Expect the 6230 to be around the $990-1290 mark. Sorry to break it to you bud, but it's going to be another good six months before you see any reasonable price drops into the field you're after.
You can grab a Nokia 7250i for around the price that you're looking at. It's a decent mobile, but overall falls far short of its competition (Sony) in a range of areas.
Hmm... thanks for all this though :) I will work my arse off for that money! Probably by the time I get it I will be more interested in a computer upgrade... :( still... I will look around a bit at some phones. I want something good looking (I like the look and shape of the 6230). I want a camera, 640x480 is good enough for me. Good quality, that is. Something to play and store music would be great as well.

The P900 is an amazing little device, does everything imaginable :O And it's got cool ringtones preloaded... :D
Btw, I prefer the Nokia 6610 over the 7250i to me the 7250i is awkward... especially with it's strange button placement :|
The Samsung E700 might suit what you want Amph.

Oh shit smiddy...! You just reminded me, im already on a plan :( Sob sob. Argh, well, I won't be buying a new phone for the next 16 months! :( Unless I buy it outright...
I'll take a look into the E700 now. Else, rec, go buy a new phone and sell your 'old' one to me :) Someone needs to show all these teenagers that Nokia ain't 'all that'. Nokia has just degraded. All my friends have Nokia's. I want something different :)
The only reason I went with a Nokia in my most recent purchase (a 6610) was because my previous phones (2 samsung and 1 motorola.) Fucked up within 5 months. However, the samsung ones currently coming out of Korea are very good, as are the Sony Ericsson's. Also, Panasonic seems to be getting right back into it.
Amph, buy it outright, swap the phones - sell the old phone.
I too would buy a 6100 or 6610 over a 7250i if that choice was put upon me.

Amph, you're better off going on to the Optus $33 plan and paying around $350 for it
If you're a member of Overclockers Australia they have quite a number of threads regarding this phone and pricing etc :)
Having just got a job I'll be saving up to buy this phone :D (or atleast one with similar features :o)
