Bomb blast at TIO

Two good friends are in ICU/Surgery right now. Haven't heard / can't say much more than what the news is already showing/saying re: the guy that did it. The news says he is a disgruntled claimant, and that's all we've been told internally. Staff are in non- life-threatening situations, thankfully. Crazy, fucked up day.

Movies Worth Watching

The Brothers Bloom: Awesome movie, funny and quirky - reminds me of two other movies I've seen recently: Zombieland and 500 Days of Summer. If you like one of these, you'll probably the other two.

Steam Holiday Sale now on!!

Bought about 15 games myself. Terrific deals, especially the games I was about to buy from GOG.com (Prince of Persia:TSoT, Sacrifice, Beyond Good & Evil). So was quite glad to use Steam instead. Nostalgia trip here I come.

TORCHLIGHT

Decent game. You upgrade gear far too quickly though, makes each new piece that drops irrelevant regardless of whether its a cool set or a unique item. In a single level (especially once you hit the teens / twenties) I can re-deck out every piece of equipment at least once.

Didn't notice that too much with my glasses on underneath the 3D glasses. The effects did seem to come and go scene to scene.

Haven't seen a lot of movies then? Everything was average to bad except for the technology. Unfortunately, the technology that is now unique to this movie will not distinguish it for very long as others adopt it into the future. Oh well.

Comrade Conroys Censorship

I read through the Live Pilot Report and couldn't quite understand the conclusions Enex was drawing from the data. In some situations, there was up to 3mbit/s speed degradation on an 8mbit line, yet the company came to the conclusion: Enex considers that it was unclear whether this was attributable to the filter or …

Movies Worth Watching

It is probably getting a lot more visibility around the general populace in the last couple of days, but I thought I'd mention (because I stupidly didn't already): The Hurt Locker Watched it about three to four months ago and thought it was brilliant. Had me on the edge of my seat, had me gasping, and there's one sc…

Oi Mark (Heretic)

Check FPM forums, your WoW accounts hacked dude. So, good thing Aion's still around :P

No Left 4 Dead 2 for Oz

Absolutely ridiculous. Admittedly, never played L4D, but was looking forward to trying out this one.

Broadband - Stuart Park / Tipperary Waters

Interesting. Wishful thinking, but hopefully they've re-examined their capacity planning in the area since. Previous owners mentioned they were on ADSL2+ until a couple of months ago when they cancelled the contract (due to moving out to a new property). Suppose I will just have to submit an application as soon as p…

Broadband - Stuart Park / Tipperary Waters

Good to hear, was a bit concerned about distance from exchange, and that I would be on a RIM (although, being a reasonably new development, I had hopes). Thanks guys.

Broadband - Stuart Park / Tipperary Waters

Need to know if anyone lives in & has, or knows of someone that has, ADSL Broadband at Tipperary Waters / Tiger Brennan end of Stuart Park. Then I need to know if its more than the bare minimum? (Has to be >256kbit upload.. so, full ADSL1 or ADSL2/2+) Cheers

Missing Partition?

Assign a Drive Letter? EDIT: Skimmed the first sentence, hrmm. You say it appears as a new drive, however, later you say it doesn't appear in Windows?

Movies Worth Watching

Frost Nixon: Finally saw this. Very interesting. Which reminded me to watch Goodnight and goodluck again over the weekend. Also an interesting movie, and a good insight into the era... with some interesting parallels to the present, with regard to free speech.

Movies Worth Watching

Peaceful Warrior: Bit of an Indie movie. Not the best acting or script, but an interesting story with some interesting characters. Worth a watch.

Movies Worth Watching

Quote from rec;363309: Mutant Chronicles looks like a watch. Decent movie - interesting premise at least. Bolt: Finally got around to watching this. Damn funny, I thought. Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist: I really liked this one, has Michael Cera(?) from Juno and Superbad in it. Reasonably predictable, but a dece…
