No, Milenko... sound is. Weeheheh! ;P

Post 15

Asthetics AND sound ;)

Post 16

lol. Looks like you both got good deals but I have to admit...

I'm ashamed of the auto in that VT Milly... I just can't look up to you anymore :p

Post 17

My VS Series II is an Auto as well... If you're a hoon and you're worried about putting on a show, put your worries to rest. Take it out of eco mode and into power, and that 3.8ltr V6 Ecotec engine will put its 147kw to the punch and get those wheels spinning from a standing start even without the control of gearing.

Post 18

Nah, I just hate the control aspect of an Auto ;)

Post 19

Seqo - I know, i also find Auto's boring to drive. But when this car came up for 14K, i had to take it. Its a let down, but not completely bad ;)

Post 20

I'll still take my forced induction. Once this rebuild is finished, and i've run the engine in... *drool* happy minorci. Turbo arrived yesterday too. I'm hoping to initially have about 180kw's at the wheels. Then once i upgrade injectors and fuel pump, just wind up the boost and I'll have about 230-240kw's. wootage.

Sound comes next, then all my baby needs is some interior work, and a respray and im done.. maybe rims, but bleh. But off topic...

Nice cars.

Post 21

My new car is SIMILAR to this, except it doesnt have the body kit, and its grey.

Post 22

Post 23

Funny story about sean.

Rock up. LEts go drive sean, no dramas we pack into his car. And he does everything you would think too. to reverse the car, then wonders why aint I moving??

Reverse is the R sean remember that ok :p ..

Post 24

Hey **** you man.
Im not used to driving autos. :P
Was a tad bit embarrassing.

Pala - Deal :D

Post 25

The R is for reverse? Ahh man, I've just been leaving mine in Neutral and rolling out.

Post 26

I thought it was D for Drive and R for Race....

Post 27

Post 29

nice one guys

wow milenko i had a look online and omg commodores are very pricy, that really shocked me, you must of saved about 3-4 grand in yours, well done man.

i have only just clocked over 16000kms on my laser, still smells new :-)

Post 30

btw "power" mode only lets the engine rev longer, and burn more fuel :P

yeah, he saved heaps and got lots of cool shit with it. sick subwhoofer! but metal sounds pretty gay on a sub :/

Post 31

Monkey just dropped around and took some piccies of the car for me (this is lenko btw).
666 - yeh man, i reckon i did save quite a bit on my car and im very very happy with it, no, im in love with it. We are going to have baby commodores one day and retire to a white picket fence house.

*me waits for Monkey to post his piccies :P*

Post 32

Here are the piccies as promised..... Resized to 800x600 for those on less fortunate net speeds :)

If i did that craig, i couldnt afford to run or insure the bloody thing :P

Cow, i didnt even think of the sub, but its nothing special, just a speaker in a box :)

Thanks to teh monkey for the pics :D

Post 37

Both cars are very nice especially for the price. Both look excellent condition (of what I can see of the magna). Those magna's have the quick shift gearbox though, right? Or is that the 2003 model they were introduced?

I don't really like that model commodore, but it's still an awesome buy especially with the extra's. I do like the mags though. You both did really well to get them.

Post 38

Nice rims milenko
and take the carpet off your dash

Post 39

Yeah, take that carpet off your dash, eww - rub in some Armorguard once every 4-6 months and you won't have an issue with peeling/cracking. I haven't given mine a polish in 8 months without a drama and it's regularly parked exposed to the sun.

Post 40

leave it there dude... would you trust rec???!??!!

Post 41

The issues tend to come out after a few years with that...

Post 42

My car is a 1996 model and according to previous owners has never had a dash matt. I'd say that's a fair few years...

Post 43

rec went for drivies in my car, as did eater :D
and yeh, i will stick with my dashmates ;)

Post 44

I like your mags... and your tires... and your sub... and the music... and the mags rock.

Post 45

:D
Only thing is, those things like to drink fuel :(

Post 46

Yeah, as I said to Sean, the engine under my hood is only a model prior (the first of the Ecotec), and I'm spending $30-$50 a week without fail. He seems to drive a lot like me (*smirk), and considering he has to head into work every day, it might get ugly - esspecially with fuel prices are so ridiculously high at the moment. The VT Series II models (1999 - 2000) are a considerable amount more fuel efficient than the earlier model apparently.

Oh and Sean, to conclude our discussion last night, out of interest; the 3.8ltr V6 VT puts out 147kw, the same as the VS, however after doing a little reading I discovered the VT is practically a from-scratch design in terms of frame, being wider, lower and stronger. Bigger boot, more front and leg room, even more shoulder room. Driver-side airbags are a standard, they implemented a completely new braking system... so yeah, while you're carrying a bit more weight with the model, I'd still swap ya. ;)

That wouldn't happen to be the CD I burnt for you Milly??? :p

Post 48

Nice, car congrats dude. I took a look on me way out at it through the windows, but couldnt see shit. Had to look through the front.

Niiiccee...

Post 49

rec. i have stumbled across a nice little aftermarket mod that will add 20hp to your output, by using a 15cent resistor. Im getting more details as we speak, but apparently it changes your ecu to increase power output (at the expense of fuel, obviously). Im looking into it, but for the time being, i think i will keep mine as is :D

Monkey, twas the CD you burnt me :D That one goes off like a frog in a sock.

Overall im extremely happy with the car eh. Its a sheer joy to drive.
As the ads say: Holden. Drive on. :P

Edit - this is lenko on cpl's computer btw.

Post 50

Fuel? :D I'll stick with my Corolla

Let me know as soon as you do - I waste enough fuel as it is, what's a little more for a whole lot more power. ;)
