i must admit, it will be hard giving up EQ live, playing that for 5 years + and getting to where i am today, frikin hard but i feel eq2 will be alot better playing wise for both solo and in grps situations, witch i can tell you now, EQlive DOES not have...

Will I be able tp play it with ISDN 128k or do you really need adsl

no, im sure taht ISDN will be fine, i know people that play Lineage 2 with Dial-up, the only thing that takes up heaps of bandwith maybe the graphics be rended, and you can turn them down so you get less information coming through :)
i dont think i should play EQ2, i might turn into a gremlin...and thats not V. good

Everquest 2? no. 2 months tops befor it is relesed. EB games currently have the box and on it says "comming soon" so i would think 2-3months befor release

Pre order, obviously means that you pay for a garentied (sorry bout spelling) copy of EQ2.

Well, knowing EB games up here u be waiting a while :) J/K. i dunno, it took them 5 months to get a game that i wanted...But then again its gonna be fairly big, so they would want it to be here on time. Btw, once you get it, can i come round and have a look? :) (im dead set serious. :)

Martok and I have ordered the game. Can't wait. Got sick of the Star Wars Galaxies Player vs Player setup. Evercrack2 with Player vs Environment should be more fun. Are you guys planning on going good, evil or neutral?

Yup u can get griffins as a mount type thing. heres a lil information. there are only 2 starting locations. qyenos and freeport. Quenos i believe is good and freeport is evil. (im not sure but i thikn im right) once you have chosen that starting point you are not welcome in the other city, being K.O.S but u cna do betrayel quest to chnage your allighnment. theres no neutural in everquest 2. i may not be able to play for a lil while but hell, ill be there soon enuff lol. im sure the PvP side of things will be very good. ive heared nothing but good reports about EQ2.

oh, guys ive sum bad ass news...i read a site called eqmages.com and well, a guy from australia is in beta, well he says the disks will be shiping with a DVD, k thats fine about a 5-6 gig game..BUT he, for BETA had to do 20 friking HOURS of downloads!!!! OMG, thats insane...and hes on 512 adsl..thats like..ummm. 3 days on dial up!!! any way ill just grb the files from u neo :)

Yeah, but bare in mind that is a beta...those files will be included with the full release....no company in their right mind would send out a game someone cant just install and play

yeh true, but there will be patches coming out every month or earlier, they may be 20 - 50 mb each

Ody's and my copy got delivered today, will probably go pick it up from the post office tomorrow night, but then i have to wait till they start the live servers :(
Plus side I guess is that i will be playing it from day one. If you guys want to get it for day one, I'd suggest ordering it from http://www.gamesuniverse.com.au

Yeah its going well, had a blown head gasket about a month ago which put it out of commission for a week and emptied my pocket of "400, but apart from that its great :D

There is no release date yet, but rumoured for Nov this year.
Servers are based in Europe and US (as usual)
It is Pay to Play, but there is currently no information on pricing atm.

Being SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) I guess it will be similar to SWG ~$3.90 a week depending on the exchange rate. Remember a longer subscription the cheaper it is to play.

Games Universe has listed the release date as November 30 so hopefully it will come out then or at least within a week of that date

yup, clan be a good thing to have! if i was you guys n girls i would check out www.aussiegamers.net Australian MMO web site, its got lots of info about where all the aussie will be and even guilds that are forming on EQ2. theres one guild with 45 peep already in it. ill be in on the clan N.P dad wants to get it lol, soooo much better than what eqlive seems to be.
