I'm in need of an amd socket A (462) cpu. i would like it to be over 1ghz but just me with what u got. Btw My motherboard only supports up to 1.4ghz.

i've been bidding on ebay but the prices end up crazy i mean $90 for a 1.2ghz cpu is too much :mad:

umm well its stil in use so i wont be selling it any time too soon unless i can get a decent amount. but if i get say min $60 ill be hapy

have you checked all the latest bios revisions? I know my old socket A board, originally designed to run 133fsb processors would take up to a 2000+ with a bios update. 1600-2000 are less than 100 bucks new (if you can find them) and they would beat the old thunderbirds anyday :smile:

yeah i have and the max is 1.4ghz because it would only take cpu's with 100mhz fsb.
