i haven't read the book yet, but i've heard of the last supper, the female figure, the dagger etc.

that's the next book i'll buy, also coco, i've been recommended the texts that break down/oppose the da vinci code, not sure what its called though

Its very interesting....the dagger is fully freaking me out, I have the painting as my background now and the stuff that you see after its pointed out.

It's not obscure stuff it's right in front of you.

If 5% of this book, which purports to be fairly historically correct, is anything near the truth..the Church has a lot to answer for...

i've read the book

quite frankly, as a story, its very cliched and has no real depth.

the facts that dan brown researched though are very interesting but some of them aren't actually true.

Its an interesting, if not particularly taxing read.
Dan Brown has written a number of books along very similar themes. He has a thing for the Vatican and various "historical" secret societies.
A good bit of fun though...

I think you mean 'Dan' Brown, yeh I found 'Angels & Demons' to be a much more interesting read than his other titles 'The Da Vinci Code', 'Digital Fortress' and 'Deception Point'

Fiction - and a good read

i wasn't overly impressed with it, although it did entertain me. i didn't like the way it ended up... i found it to be a bit unplausible, especially with the baddie 'twist'.

Two friends of mine were into this book heaps..

we picked up a book though at this random shop that was published before it and seemed to have the exact same story..

I finished reading it recently and I must agree with Illusions. The ending is bloody horrible. He manages to maintain suspense the whole way through the book and then kill it ALL with a single chapter. But I guess thats what happens when the book is overhyped, you expect too much from it.

Aside from that one point alone, the book was very good. He seemed to have researched a lot and although some of the facts aren't true you get that from a fiction book. It would have been nice however, if he did put some notes at the end of the book like Matthew Reilly did with Scarecrow, outlining where he had introduced fiction.
Unless of course everything on the facts page at the front of the book is all thats true.
