Half-Life 3 LEAKED !
After several delays on Half-Life 2 the Swedish mag Gamereactor suppose to have a broken cover on Half-Life3! CEO Gabe Newell revealed that Half-Life 3 is in the planning stage at the Seattle developers.

During a recent press briefing in Valve Headquarter, Newell said that at this stage the female NPS Alyx is playable in Half-Life 3, and they was promising more alien-based revelations then Half-Life 2.
Its not a surprise that the Half-Life series will continue but let us play some Half-Life 2 first :) . If you want more info about Half-Life 3 keep your eyes open on this year's version of the E3 festival, there you can expect much more confirmed info.

Urm, it was bound to happen... whether they actually have information, or are talking out of their arses, is debateable.

ROFL HL3 LEEKAGE :P

Rarft is right Half-Life 2 is just like doom 3, just another engine. It's a shame that they spend so much on developing the engine and so little developing a little bit of story line. I think single player should be more than aim and shoot a bit of thought would be nice.

Post 9

oh, there is a bit more then just aim and shooting. They do have some map puzzles, like how to get past this gate, or how to access a ramp thats supposly blocked.

they also have that hovercraft, and the car, and the gravity gun

i agree that the gameplay does start to becoming repeated, because throughout the game, it's all been about getting from one place to another, you feel like there's got to be more the Freeman can do beside going everywhere on foot.

Post 10

suppose if i had a better graphics card i would play it more :P

Post 11

Half-Life 2 has a lot more substance than Doom 3, but bah.

Post 12

Doug Lombardi himself said that Half-Life 3 was on the cards, about this time last year.

you call those puzzles? you never played the monkey island series did you :)

and i always thought that substance in a game was more than a tricky gun...but hey...

Post 14

don't get me wrong, monkey island was one of the best series there was, they were awesome. but they weren't exactly FPS were they ;)

methinks you might be playing the wrong genre for all your whining about lack of substance. :P HL2 was very creative, and that physics engine is quite mind blowing.

Post 15

He's just bitter because the majority of the worlds gaming population think HL2 is better than Doom 3. ;)

Post 16

indeed rec :)

hl2 was good. i never said it wasnt. i just dont think its as good as everyone thinks it is. if you dont like that than build a bridge.

I've got Monkey Island 3 + 4, and they're pure puzzle games, you don't get to shoot anything in that, and Monkey Island is funnier (although their multiplayer sux):)

a better way to describe the the puzzles in HL2 are mini problem solving excersises. It's not all about "You need to find this key, to open this one door, shoot everything in way of transit and etc."

But the thing that really pissed me off was the fact that most of HL2 was (at least during the them vehicle parts) is about roadblocks. Where after some high speed chasing, you stop to open a door.

Either way, it's a good game, not the world's best
