I thought I was getting sick. Played HL2 last night for about an hour and started to feel real sick. Laid down and felt a little better.

This morning I played it again. Played for an hour and again started to feel ill. Walked into the lounge to lay down but had to run to the bathroom as I commenced chucking.

Now Ive been out on boats, dody cars and bikes and never experienced this before. Thought I was coming down with something but no, after about 20 minutes rest I started to feel better.

So I checked the Steam forums and lo and behold this is what I found

Its not just you bud.

This has been around since I was selling Descent at HH, Asians in particular had a problems with this game , there is no real ryhme or reason, some particular games affect your eyes/ears differently.
Not only limited to FPS's either, I seen it happen with RPG's as well.

Hope you find a fix bud, or just start taking a few polarimines before playtime :)

Have a few brews Spongey, help dull the senses a little ;)

There is a big thread in whirlpool about this

Quick fix it to enable cheats and then to change your field of view from 75 to 90

Ive also put a hook up next to my puter and have a bucket on it just in case

Tanks for the info Coco, Ill ask the man in the shop next time for a demo and if I projectile vomit in the shop Ill change the game

I get motion sickness when ever there is someone playing an FPS on a LCD display next to me at the same time I am playing a different. But only if I can see it in my peripheral vision. I put that down to my refresh being at 85hz and theirs at something lower :)

Decent 2 made me ill but the first did not.

Post 11

Yeah I was getting major motion sickness on the last levels only. Best combination to go along with the pisspoor ending.

Post 12

You are not alone sponge. I too fell to the motion sickness demon.

I am sure I read it only effected those of higher intelligence.

Hehehehe.

Post 13

Hmm... vision induced motion sickness...

This makes the game more interesting... Hmmm.... I think I'll save up some more to experience it...

Post 14

you have to cheat to increase your FOV??? shouldn't there be some way to do it without having to cheat?

Post 15

Post 18

Yep I read that too that cheats have to be enabled. I have used the program Refresh Force and so far my vomiting has subsided.

Glad to hear I wasnt the only one. I do like the game and CS Source so far since Ive played is excellent abd recomended to everyone. the realism and graphics are far more apealing and far more superior to the older version.

Yeah i get it and i have friends who get it. Watching someone play is so bad, i had to lay down for 2 hours after 10 min of watching someone.
