Who here would be interested in a Serious Sam 2 co-op marathon @ EVO5???
I know Milenko and maybe Harbs so probably a few others would be good to join in on the slaughter :D
Let me know on the day if you want to..... i thought a little endless killing of monsters would be good :)

i'm guessing it will play a part in the games timetable.. so that is when you could play the 'marathon'
I remember the last time 2 servers were put up for this. Our server was bugged and the finaly boss wouldn't spawn >_<. It took so long getting there to but was fun. Needs to be made harder though.
no. you're thinking of serious sam. serious sam 2 is (slightly) different.

Not really.... myself or another might host the game at any given time when we are bored of doing other stuff. So THAT is when we will play the MARATHON. The thing is it will be a private game not run by DGA so you shouldn't attempt to control when it will take place.
Naturally I won't put it on during the comps as those wishing to play won't be able to if they are playing it the comps. Just a little common sense is all it takes.

Before you jump to any more conclusions, i was merely suggesting that if it's in the timetable there will be a server running then and there will be lots of people thinking about playing it anyway.
Last MARATHON was played during the timetable, which is why i made the suggestion in the first place.. and the whole point of DGA and the Games Timetable is to accomodate the gamers..

whilst were at it when are the comps being run as I know people are trying organise when to come around the above things ..
Even if it is run as Monkeys marathon and its in the timetable as well does it really matter ??
If Monkey runs it and xiii or something else is in the "play this now timetable" whats the problem there ??
But without more details and less then 2 weeks this is merly speculation.

Day 1 - RTS
Day 2 - FPS
Day 3 - Racing
but best to wait for Harbs official post before committing to something.

Doesn't matter in the slightest, i was just offering a suggestion to help him get even more people. Possibly Monkey could talk to Harb and have "Monkey's Marathon" in one of the Serious Sam 2 slots.
Give Harb another day or two to finalise the timetable, but i believe it includes Serious Sam 2nd Encounter and that there may be two timetables running simultaneously.

but you gotta admit .. it looks as to me and Im assuming may not be true others, that everything is being left last minute

And if you run something on the Friday you are out of your mind .. comps should be run Sat/Sun conclusive. If not all Saturday..
Friday not being a public holiday and sunday being the day everybody leaves anyways ..
but hey thats your choice either way ..

Friday not being a public holiday and sunday being the day everybody leaves anyways ...That's up to the competitions admin, also we are trying to get people to stay on Sunday, (or go home, shower and return sunday) Like i said, it's not final.
It's unfortunate that Friday isn't a public holiday... but the comp may be run Friday night when people who work have the opportunity to attend.. we will have to wait (myself included) for the official post regarding this.

It is our choice, but we will do our best to accomodate the majority of the gamers. you can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time
never said u had to please people . . just saying how about giving people some notice so they can organise time off.
well at the moment, people know the dates, so if they want the full evo experience, hopefully they have taken friday off.. otherwise it will really kick off after 5pm when people file in after work, and will go longer and harder into Sunday than the usual evo event..
