Take your pic each has its advantages and disadvantages. But mostly if your getting paid to write ASP you will code asp, if your getting paid to write and develop on java you will write java. Simple really.

i have used asp for uni and it was so hard for me to comprehend, php on the other hand was a tad easier and more interesting.
