RAID help.

Was wondering if anyone here could help me out with a big big RAID problem.

I had a 400gig striped raid(2 X 200gig SATA HDD) that I got working on my old motherboard(Asus P4C800-E)

I just upgraded to a (A8N SLI Premium) and tryed plugging them in and it didn't work. I have installed all of the raid software from the Mobo cd and the SAM ()SiI Array MAnager i installed can see the striped array but windows cant.

Please any help would be very greatfull. I really dont want to loose 400gig of data.

Windows might be picking it up as a "Foreign disc"
If so windows won't mount the drive.
Try going into administrative tools, computer managment and have a look under storage. If it comes up in there but says "Foreign" then i think you can just right click and import disc or something like that.

Yeah - another thing is you may need to set the array up in the RAID bios at boot.

I had a similar problem and this was how to fix it. Yours sounds like its Windows, not the Hardware Raid.

in computer managment | Storage it says its there. Disk 3, Basic, 372.62GB online. but in the graph thinggy it days that the 372.62GB is Unallocated.

ALso in the RAID BIOS i told it to rebuild the array.

ANyone have any idea please =\

then you are almost certainly screwed. you can't rebuild a striped array, only initialise/zero them.

SO is it certain they are dead and I should just delete the whole RAID and start again?.

It was full of media *Crys* i'm going to be sooo bored till the next LAN.
