Hiya,
Is there a decent place in Darwin that sells wireless gear?? I'm looking for antennas, pigtails, mounts etc at reasonable prices. I know jaycar has some stuff, is there anywhere else??

Dw order ap's, antenna's from www.techtopia.com.au
We have local DW members who can make coax runs and pigtails.
Im sure they can help you out. Visit www.darwinwireless.com for more info. Or jump in their IRC channel. Let me know if you need the address for that.

I'm an IRC retard. I even hate messenger.
I looked on DW last night or this morning, didn't see much. I was looking for some antennas locally as I dont have the time for Aus Post, or the "40 I was quoted for the airfreight.
Cheers anyway, I might infestergate DW some more for next time.
I got a 21dBi Directional i might be interested in selling :P
You may wish to check out http://www.the-mesh.org/ They're a Darwin Wireless Community too.

I need two of them...
How much for this one anyway?
Hey Hey,
well I have a 19dbi antenna for sale atm. Eater was interested before so I'll have to have a yarn with him. Had couple of people mention to me about it and want to use it.
So just to let you know if you dont find anything, show interest if you would like and if these others guys dont mention anything we could do some business.

Thanks to Knight for referring me to this.
Reason for sale is I'm going 9dbi omni, rpoe and linksys wrt45g with freinfunk firmware. So MOMO will be getting a footprint for Leanyer :)
As Neo mentioned theres more info @ The Mesh website
Cheers

If you are after directional Antenna's 25 or 19 Check out M&M Electrical they are local and have some deacent prices, I picked up my Directional for 125 a few years back, but last time I bought one it was about "35 for a 25dbi.
There are local stores that sell pigtails for theses antenna's but last time i priced some up they were trying to sell me one for 80$ for a 50cm Pigtail, it would be cheaper to source people in darwin who can make them for you, but i found the easiest was getting them from techtopia for around $25 + freight
another good place is http://nuke.freenet-antennas.com/
If you find a good store in darwin let me know ;)
Cheers

M&M certainly aren't the cheapest for their stuff...
But they are local which makes them convenient.

I checked with Freenet originally from a recommendation on Austech. They certainly seemed very helpful, and went to the trouble to get me a decent quote. Unfortunately they couldn't airbag the stuff reasonably, (size/weight??) and relied on Aus Post for the delivery.
Anyway for the short term I invested in some network-over-powerline stuff to get this job sorted, and will eventually go ahead with the freenet stuff for the wireless.
