It was based on a series which was incredibly, stupendously cool. Just excellent in every respect.

This movie looks like ... I think heretic has it. xXx with a chick. Woopdefriggingdoo.

isn't this some futuristic, fighting against the 'system', wander round in boxom outfits - assassin movie? .. how in the hell is that like xXx? :p

It was called - wait for it now - Aeon Flux.

As for the xXx reference, it's translatable as "completely generic off-the-shelf action film with some out-of-genre twists".

To start with, I would not have picked pretty pie face Charlize Theron as Aeon Flux. No way in hell. Too short, too girly. Not scary at all.

And which one is Chairman Goodchild? In the series he is like a mad god, a Julius Caesar minus some marbles. A genius in his own twisted right.

Also, the series wasn't very clear cut. Goodchild is the baddy, but he shows enormous compassion at times. Flux is the goodie, but she's downright evil for ... well, a lot of the time. Storyline? It's not very clear. Last city on Earth? Maybe, but who knows?

All I can say is that the series was mind-bending stuff. The movie just looks very ordinary. Very predictable. Very much a pale shadow of the series.

doy i only mean its like xXx because i watched it without sound at work. and it just all looks the same. :P explosions, guns etc. i'll probably watch it and like it at the time, but i'm not going to pay for it :)
