yeah you'd be lucky to find anything with all those features for that price.
i picked up my eb falcon for just over $3k, and thats got all those things. however that was reduced from $6k, so i probably got lucky.

Doesn't have to be auto anymore that was just a preference. How much are those really common little twin cam excels going for? around the 5k mark isn't it?

Try carsales... GU is an interstate kinda place now, so if you need someone to check out a car in another state someone might be able to help you out. You might be able to pick up an Integra for that kinda cheap... probably definitely less than $4k, and Integra's would have power steering and aircon, and enough power to justify automatic.

Integra in Darwin for that price. Definitely not, unless there's something seriously wrong with it.
Excels are going for around $5k - $7k yes. Probably not in that good condition though.

A solid car would be something like an old nissan skyline power steering aircon mostly manual but you'll find them in auto as well and they have the straight 6 out of the holden VL commadors - also $50 a fortnight on fuel -
also toyota they have some good old cars like SIK said carolla's arent bad but try and one thats newer then 1988
suzuki swifts not bad
not falcons specially the older ones as there door handles are crap and the chew through the fuel if you got tha money for a new no probs there good.
old VL commadors good
Iguess anythings good if it works man.

carolla, suzuki... 2 good type of cars which are fuel efficient
i personally got myself a honda civic :p ... love it!
