when's the ps3 out again?

Post 4

well according to http://www.ps3land.com/faq.php#1 it reckons there will be a worldwide launch at march 2006. they also say that it will be priced around 300, but thats a very rough approximate so i dunno, it dosnt sound like a whole lot of money for the next generation of ps console but then again i aint complaining.

oh btw thats $300 american, and On paper, the PS3 is 2x more powerful than the Xbox 360 and 15x more powerful than the Nintendo Revolution. It has a processing capacity of 2.18 TFLOPS, which is put into context when you realise the FASTEST computers in existence can only do 36 Terraflops. It is said to be 35x more powerful than the PlayStation 2 is - http://www.ps3land.com/faq.php#1

Post 5

it doesn't matter whats more powerful or whatzit

it all comes down to one thing

what games will come out for each system

Post 6

Xbox can play lan with PC, so for instance, BF2 can play online and lan with PC, think the ps3 can do that to, but the thing is, PS3's controllers are weird looking, looks like batmans weapon thingy he uses...

Post 7

lol batarang.

mmm...anyone wanna turn each of these consoles into a PC?

Post 8

I'll be waiting for the PS3.

Post 9

the ps3 specs are shitty

xbox 360 will be more value for money

Post 10

We are going to see an epic price war :)

Xbox 360 will be the value king. Sony just wont keep up with the price drops.

Most users will do what they always do, look at which titles they can play on either and buy according to taste. Sony is gonna need to drop some killer titles on the Ps3 if they want to sell anywhere near the number of Xbox 360s.

Post 11

FF7 remake anyone?

Post 12

I can tell ya this atleast, Xbox has a world wide popular game that YOU all know of :D, Halo, they'll definetly sell shitloads when Halo 3 is released, everyone will be after it.

Anyhow, does a PS3 have 4 player capability which the other playstations lacked in because of a Multi-tap accessory? i wanna know, my bro's gettin a PS3 and im getting a 360

Post 13

Halo was going to be something really, really special when it was being developed for the PC & Mac. Then they downgraded their entire concept and put it on the Xbox. So much potential, so little return. :(

Post 14

The PS3, looks like a Sandwich maker, and its control like boomerangs.

Post 15

Meh, I'll get what has the best games. Hopefully nintendo will deliver cause I'm a nintendo fan-boi at heart *hugs snes*

Post 16

Mario > all.

Yah i remember watching the first teaser movie for halo in its production stages, looked forward to it so much, then it went to xbox :(

Post 18

apperantly rumor say, once Halo 3 is out, Halo 2 is being released for PC, that is what ive heard from certain forums, cant remember what forum it was

Post 19

Yeah but it'll just be a port of the Xbox version, which will be shit. The original Halo being developed for PC/Mac looks so much better, graphically and gameplay wise.

Post 20

Well i still think no matter the price the ps3 will always out sell both combined on a world scale

Maybe, depends how much of a headstart Xbox 360 can get. But yeah I'm thinking you're probably gonna be right.

yeh, but the ps2 was a heap of junk, so that aint much of a "upsell"

Post 23

Yea but the PS2 had a larger selection of 'better' games in comparison to the X-Box. Whether or not this will ramain the same with the new generation of consoles, I do not know. All I can say is I can't wait for Devil May Cry 4 - Yea, for PS3!

Post 24

yes the ps2 had better games then the xbox, but ps2 came out before the xbox, which most of the creaters that made the awesome games for ps2 in the begginning, didnt really have a choice did they because they began making the games according to the Ps2's specs which woulda taken more effort and money which may of been over there budget to upgrade to the xbox's specs

360's early release may have the advantage over Ps3 since most of the creaters would want to sell there products at an earlier stage so they can move on to there next project

*not saying i am right though*

Post 25

Not going to bother with the XBOX 360 will wait for PS3 :) A console just isn't worth buying if it can't play Final Fantasy games :)

Post 26

very true tachi! i forgot about that! which is why im buying xbox 360 n my bros gettin the ps3 :D
