As my main gaming group tends to be a little hit and miss (we havent played in about 4 weeks now due to conflicting schedules :P) im looking for a second gaming group. I'm keen to get into SR4, but happy to continue SR3 or even other pencil and paper games.
So if you have a group with a spare slot in the darwin area (i have transport so i can get out to palmerston/cas etc if need be) let me know, I'm keen to get some more gaming in.

Transport + People is all taken care of.
But there is nothing like using ure imagination and bunch of dice to decide the fate of a hero in fantasy world, and barely any hacks, cheats or lag exists at all....
I'm yet to see any online role-playing games...i've seen plenty of first person shooters with swords, but no roleplaying games :P
WoW, GuildWars, etc have more in common with RPG's than they do with FPS's
Eater you are correct in that sense. nothing like a Few beers and the Clash of pen on paper, no losers, no hiding, just adventure :)
but i do Dissagree with you Aza. in World of Warcraft RP (Role playing) Servers, you cannot even talk about the real world, you have to speak in character and talk like your character, you can actually be banned from the server if you dont. Thats as roleplaying as you can get.
Yeh, I've got two characters on RP servers and it is certainly a different experience. Have to use ((OOC)) to announce that you're not talking in character and that's frowned upon in almost all situations, bar whispers/tells.
Nothing beats the first time you hear the description of a barbrezu - no computer game could get the same sort of awe (more like "ho Sh*t").
nor the high fives that the party gets for bringing them down. (and the tears of having to revive another party member)
I suggest going to talk to Allan at Enchanted Worlds in the city. I think that's the name of his shop haven't been there in ages. He will hook you up with some roleplayers as he sells the gear :)
Also there was something called Maelstrom which used to run Sunday afternoons at the university. Not sure if thats still running either been a few years since I went. Again ask allan.
maelstrom was great met a bunch of people through that. but im afraid im in same boat as SperO i haven't been there for many years now. used to play pen and paper all the time, now i just play WoW.
yeah went in and gave him my name and contact details the other day, and he thinks he may know one guy about to start SR4, also put a notice up at NT comics. I tried to find maelstrom a few years back but couldnt, dont know if they still going...might try googling it.

There are still quite a few groups around playing pen & paper RPGs.
Maelstrom (used to be Magic), was at the University, but has been moved to a facility in Leanyer (the Bridge club?!). Has been there for over a year now.
I've heard but not seen, that it is mostly just wargamers these days.
Yes i heard the same thing about the Maelstrom club.
Sort of crashed and burned and from the ashes they refromed at Leanyer.
I hear the same news that they really only deal with table top wargames.
but i know some of the those poeps did play RPG as well so you might be able to hook up throught them.

pallys are really great class to play, if u can work that out....unfortunatly half the fools out there that play pallys dont know how to play them, then complain they have shit dps.
