Just need a websurfer / basic game pc for my nephew. Anyone have any old gear that they no longer need that they can sell for cheap or giveaway :) I want to spend as little as possible.
Building from the ground up so all I have so far is case and an old geforce 2 card.
i got a mate at work with several old pc's that i think he is looking to get rid of some soon.

do you have any idea what speed cpu u want for this computer?
Would be amazing if it could play games like diablo, warcraft and starcraft. Not too fussy though as long as it loads up, has internet and can play basic java games (Runescape) :D

I've got an old 15" CRT. It's nothing special, but it does the job, as long as you don't intend to game with it.
How come I can't game with it? Curious. :)
I would like it to play the older games mentioned.
In this day and age us gamers have become accustomed to only the latest and greatest. 100Hz refresh rates, high resolutions - etc. Don't expect that from this monitor. I think it does about 1024x768@70Hz

Things I still need...
- Motherboard - Don't care as long as it works with the rest of my stuff
- Cpu - To suit mobo
- Ram - To suit mobo - not fussy anymore but PC100/133 would be preferred as that's what i've already got
Please remember i'm trying to build this whilst not spending much. So far i've sourced the other parts for free (old parts I had and donation from a friend).

Would be great if I could source all these parts before DGA and then pickup the stuff from people at DGA :D Already arranged with 2 people to do this, so the more the merrier.

Really really want a cpu, motherboard and some ram. Motherboard must take SD Ram, have an AGP slot and also have onboard lan.
