NOS LAN PRESENTS March lan

This months lan runs from 10pm on the 10th until 10pm on the 11th be there!

NOS is a lan that we run in an airconditioned church hall. We have access to their toilets, kitchen facilities (fridge for drinks etc.), a small room with an aircon to sleep in, or we can sleep in the main room with our computers. (which is carpeted) alright the cost is "5. We have a full gigabyte network as well!

We need you to registar by ringing one of the following people sealcomm on 0412151546 Brak on 0413327249 GIR on 0413316564 or me LEECH on 0431060980.

It is ran at Abundent Life Christian Church in leayner at bottom of leayner drive near the primary schools.

All you need is a computer with a network cable and HEADPHONES (no speakers) and a power board

we normally play these

Games

HL2 is something to have. (if you don't have it yet, purchase it over the net, its cheaper and you get more. DOD, CS etc.)
Warcraft 3
Swat 4

We also play a bit of NS, or other HL/HL2 mods
We play battle for middle earth
Some guys play need for speed
Dawn of war
BF2

I forgot to mention that we dont organise any food so bring your own or their is Hibiscus shopping centre up the road. We do however sell softdrinks at ".50 a can. Keep it cool

At past Lans we have run with out any advertising we get 15 to 20 people. Currently we only have room for 30 people max. (hopeful to expand)

We also are drug and alcohol free... that means no drugs or alcohol plz

if you dont like our rules you dont have to come. We have rules such as no alcohol and drugs because we want to offer a safe place for the younger generations to game. Drugs and alcohol cause anit social behavour and we dont need that at our lans. We are focused on having a fun LAN and thats why rules exist.

However i think you will find info about the dga on the dga section of forums

Do you know what a winking eye (;-)) means?

Lighten up, mate. With that sort of attitude, I'm sure your LANs will be LOTS of fun.

Well it's lots of fun, probably not for the older audience of GU but the younger gen enjoy it’s a lot (no not lil kiddies, young adults/teens).

Us olds would like it too ;) We dont have to take a few drinks just to have a good LAN, just good clean fun, swapping "stories" and a few games to boot

lol nah, in my opinion it's not the drinks thing, it's just the way it's organised. It's just not for the older ages. lol It's no DGA :P

I have nothing against people's freedom to indulge in whatever they feel makes them happy, but it's nice to have events that are all ages friendly.

Anyway, anyone feel like sinking a carton of their favourite alcoholic beverage and then taking me on in ANY game while I am sober? :)

It is also a question of not voluntarily reducing your capability.

oy Ritz what are you talkin about? Sure people under 18 outnumber the older people but that doesnt mean its anyless cool or fun its just that we have a younger crowd (i dont think anyones under 15). I was always under the impression that you enjoyed the lans.

(BTW: only steam and www.nos-gaming.com is going to be available over the net at the lans unless we need a 'special' game patch)

Oi thats the thing. The good number of people are under 18.
DGA is a good number over 18 and then a nice number of under 18 also. But this forums has alot for the over 18 year old group on it. And I was just saying that the LAN is more of a youth thing.. not young youth but you get the point I hope. I mean it's in a 'youth church' and in the 'youth group' room and is run by 20+ year olds but attended mostly by 15-17 years olds.. well as we get older age gets higher so a few 18-21's in there also.

I know thats a mess to read..

I just thought i would let you know that is run seperate to the youth and the church and the top dog that started the show and is still gaming at the lan and away from it is 30+ not 20+ (its not me ... im just the messager boy)although the other guys helping to run it are 20+ other than me im 17

This brings me onto my next point i will still be the guy posting for NOS LAN even though i may not be attending everyone of them.

And yeah you are all welcome in coming to the LAN.
