Post 4
I take that back. I'm still "0 better off with iiNet.....Damn it!! I have truely been sucked in with there promise of fast internet :( I hate them for now.
Post 5

hmm.. i have to move in Sept.. maybe i'll move to town again.. just need a yard for my puppy.
Post 6
I'm on the light bundle. $49.95 for 1500/256 and 10GB/10GB. $33.36 line rental. $83.31 total per month (not including calls of course) Closest internode have is $59.95 and then I have to go back to Telstra for my phone.
Post 7
You could do what a lot of ppl are doing, Switch there phone line to buget plan 18.50/mth. or around that, and use Nodephone (VOIP) for all there calls, 18c national call rate untimed, so no matter where and what time and how long u call any one in Australia it will only cost U 18c. Once you get it set up I think $20 + Equipment if needed, U pay no more if u are an internode customer. People have reported great savings. :)
Yes you are still with tel$tra for incoming calls but U only giving them <$20/mth :)
Post 8
i'm on iinetphone.. 10c untimed calls.. so almost half price of nodephone
Post 9
Yes but the Line retal is almost double :), It was only a sugestion :) at the end of the day you chose your ISP for what you think is best for you :)
Post 10
you go iinet....
:P
Post 11
Telstra rang me up the other day trying to prove their deals were better than iiNets. They tried to say our phone line rental must be double otherwise how would they make any money. iiNet is $3.41 more than Telstras standard phone.
That sounds pretty good with node phone. The only thing that would stop me there is the "90 for the equipment atm. Maybe later in the year.

iinet for me
Post 13
iinet has the worst service ever....

Post 14

Post 15
Yeah, I have had no problem with there service.
Post 16
I just found out about iinet's TBD - Feasibility review underway.... Only reason I joined was for the up and coming ADSL2+.... I'm gonna be real pissed off if it doesn't happen!!! It's false advertising if they don't....
Post 17
Quote from octane:
It's false advertising if they don't....
Could you legally follow that through? might be cheaper for iinet to do it then to get people taking them to court for that?!
Post 18
i dont understand why they would scrap it...
according to the iinet dslam updates page, they hardware is already there and installed, so why scrap it now?
Post 19
yeah only things with iinet in my experiences is that the service, when working goes great. Time when they have made me get pissy is ringing them (helpdesk for example) - it sucks!!!
Far as i know is that the ADSL2+ os going ahead ;)
Cheers
MOMO
Post 20
woohoo for adsl 2
Post 21
got a response from iinet...
from the words of iinet:
Construction has been completed at the Casuarine Exchange, so now we are testing existing customers lines who are eligible to be switched to the iiDSLAM to see if their line supports these speeds.
>> all I know is that I better get ADSL2+..... the sooner the better!!!
Post 22
Any existing customers on here trying it out???
Post 23
how would you know?
Post 24
octane... where did you get your info?
Post 25
Burk - it says from "iinet", which is exactly where it came from....
Post 26
who is iinet.. is that from the managing director, a close personal friend of yours.. or a press release that somehow nobody else recieved, or word of mouth from your sister's boyfriend's mother's friend of a friend?
Post 27
Well I for one hope Octane is right and it doesn't sound like they have scrapped the idea yet.
Post 28
