Apparently hollywood has noticed there's a small cache of people out there that might be interested.
Just hope they don't screw it up.

It will suck.
They just dont understand how to make the conversion from games to film.

Sadly very true.
Hollywood does, in my opinion, have a tough enough time making the miniscule leap from book to film, let alone game to film.

Post 4

Sigh...and this is worse than game to film, it's MMO to film.

"Your a n00b"
Large orc produces axe

orc goes fishing
fight scene
orc goes mining
fight scene
orc gains next level
*end of script

Post 6

All that aside though, i will still pay money to see it =p

Post 7

I can picture it now... The main character walks into Ironforge only to be bombarded with lots of shouting: "LFM NEED TANK AND HEALER"

And in the Barrens, shouts of: "Chuck norris is my homeboy"

Post 8

its got great backdrop, story and locations to make a film, all you need is a nasty boss, a group of warriors, overwhelming odds, a ring and a mountain...no wait...

if they do it right it will be similar to LOTR which was so ****ing awesome. its got the makings of a good film they just have to hopefully not screw it.

Post 9

and its something they can keep making sequels to...

And THAT is why they will still keep making crap game movies.

Hell, I went to see Doom, I EXPECTED it to be an average movie - but wanted to see it anyway because I'd played the game.

dont forget the comp lag

"omfg, WIPE"
the end.

At random points in the movie (particular when getting near the good bit) everyone will have to leave because the movie is shutting down for maintenance.

Also, you won't be able to watch the movie every Tuesday night.

ROFL - that and one guy will hand another guy something and they will stand there doing nothing whilst they wait for lag.

In related news, Blizzard has announced that tickets to the show will only be available in 'raid' and 'mini-raid' packages of 40 and 20 tickets respectively. Fans going alone will only see the first 30 minutes of the movie.

Naturally this movie is a hunter only item. If any one else tries to see it then they should be labled a ninja and booted from the theater.

I'm interested, but I don't have a lot of time to go out to the movies these days. Can I pay someone in China to go see it for me?
ROFL

About Legendary Pictures
Legendary Pictures formed a partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures in 2005 to co-produce and co-finance at least 25 pictures during an initial 5-year term, which includes a first-look distribution arrangement. The company operates from the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California. Legendary Pictures' first film was Batman Begins, directed by Chris Nolan. Future releases include Superman Returns, directed by Bryan Singer, M. Night Shymalan's Lady in the Water, and Roland Emmerich's 10,000 B.C.

Main chr dies. then you spend the next half an hour watching the movie in b/w only to get corpse camped :(

Post 19

I hope there's a paladin in it, and he gets ganked within the first 5 minutes of adventuring.

Post 20

dont forget half the movie is a mindless repetition of killing monsters, trying to get those cloth pants you always wanted

Post 21

I just hope they do a scene from a Tarren Mill fight :p

Post 22

did you people not play wc2 or 3? the story's and cinematics were insanely good, just because wow doesnt have cutscreens and a set storyline doesnt mean the movie wont :P

Post 23

Haha those comments are top stuff.

Post 24

I think if they play out the story right of Arathas it should be an awesome movie. Otheriwse they will play out a book that hasnt been released. Give them a read if you ever get the chance they are quite weird when ur thinking that ur playing the character on wow etc lol

Post 25

not sure if live action is the way to go - the warcraft cinematics are brilliant - full length feature film like that kthx

Post 26

I read in the New York paper that they were actually thinking of a cast?!?

I reckon warcraft cinematics FTW!

Post 27

maybe *hopefuly* the cast is for the voice actors? not that the existing ones dont rock "job's done!"

If they do have a pally getting ganked early in the film, they better come back, about 1/2 an hour later, and he will still be there fighting... :P

I serioulsy saw my first Stalemate duel the other day, 2 pallies fought for 1/2 an hour, and then decided to call it a draw....

I duelled a Druid for like 45 minutes one day before we both got the shits and went and did something else. We were both on full health and full mana after that time.

Post 30

Yeh we have a bunch of pali's that duel before Ony every time we go. They spend have the time healing and stunning the other one.

Post 31
