I played wow at a friends place and before I realised 5 hours had gone by. Can anyone figure why the dam game is so addictive. I noticed the game is very repetive so can't be because the game is always different.
Anyone have any Ideas.

cuz once u start talking to people and raiding / pvping on vent it gets even worse!

Its cause it appeals to the urge of "Upgrade and make it better". Seriously, there is always some upgrade or something better to get it, or some new faction level to reach. You will never run out of "OMG I just got <insert new thing here>". Once you start raiding instead of 4 upgrades a month being worth it, suddenly 1 upgrade a month becomes very exciting.

of course it's addictive. if there weren't any new shinies, or quests, or new things to check out, it wouldn't be worth the "5 a month to keep us playing ;)
edit: it's addictive, successful and fun because it caters to the very psyche of who we are.
like any walk of life, and it's pursuits, it provides characters and the people who play those characters with a niche purpose. you succeed in that purpose, you gain rewards and/or praise. it's the perfect ego machine.
your job, your sporting interests, whatever it is. it's the same idea. strive for results, get rewarded. - hence the addictive gameplay. people like to achieve things and be acclaimed for it.

i have never played it but i have watch some people play and all they do is the same stuff over and over. i dont know how they can do it. its so F@#$en boring.

I dunno Im an addict... but sadly getting annoyed with the alliance we're in and trying to find another alliance/guild to go to is like GRRRR cause no one on our servers plays at our time cause their in a our alliance!

I dunno those guys are a little behind for us and hey I dont think me getting there would get me a top spot any quicker...
If I was ever going to leave it would be for a guild with a nice size player base, straight away entrance and at or above the current position where are in relation to the game. Basically <Hocken> /ginvite Kutz (Kel'Thuzads best guild)
