We got 40mm at Howard Springs, another guy out here measured 44mm.

Not a bad drizzle, it's more in an hour than the whole of September last year.

lol it rained on thursday night big time :)

i loved it sat out side enjoy the smell of rain and watch few lil lights of lightning :D

yea about 8pm I just had this feeling it was going to rain last night... brought everything in. Looks like my intuition was right... I think ive been living in Darwin for to long :D

for Damaging Winds
For people in some areas within 60 km of Darwin.
Issued at 3:34 pm on Sunday 3 December 2006

At 03:30 pm, thunderstorms with the potential for damaging winds were observed on radar over Darwin Harbour moving towards the northwest.

The following areas may experience damaging wind gusts between 03:30 pm and 04:30 pm:

Palmerston,
Darwin,
Gunn Point,
Cox Peninsula.

The Northern Territory Emergency Service advises people to secure loose outside objects and avoid remaining in the open when storms threaten.

The next Severe Thunderstorm Warning will be issued no later than 04:00 pm Sunday.

You call those 37 drops of water we had in Woodleigh Gardens rain.....

It will be a long hot dry wet season me thinks.
