my bro is having a few issues with his gfx card keeps getting the following error..

This happens when playing any game at all. cs, css, ns, wow, etc..
anyone have an idea/suggestion on what it is or what he should do?
new vid card .. i had this issue a while ago ..
was with an older style ati card.
What card is he using?
using a 9800 pro..
A few people said it might be a heat issue.. the gfx card sits on 60 ish in game..
had the same problem, its heat.
60 degrees and heat problems? My non configurable safety net for my 6600GT is like 145 of something insane - set by the driver. Runs at like 90 under full load.
yeah my 9800pro was perfectly fine up to about 75 degrees. it would sit at around 65-70 when gaming and still works, though mebbe i just got lucky or something
both my 9800se and my old x800 hit at least 75-80c in-game with out probs.
im getting a simillar error now just with my new RA'd x800 just after logging in, so it may not be heat related.......... could be on its way out of service....
oh me and rossman had this problem
for some reason, just try turning off all the write fast (or fast write?) stuff and then try it again. Oh and all the associated writefast stuff in that page tab.
alternatively buy a nvidia card, ive never had a single trouble with them.
