I have gotten back final word on a venue to hold 40people.
And we are ringing this arvo to get info for a bigger event, which will be early march (first weekend) This will cover the national qualifier as well.
What national qualifier ??
This one
Will be booked tomorrow either way, but this has opened the doors, to allow us the smaller 40 person lans at a regular interval and bigger 80-120 events when we want to open the doors and go nuts.
So in short in 4 weeks there will be a lan and we will see how popular it is.
Can I get my free first lan? (probably not) But on a serious note, what's the largest size allowed for monitors and computers? Is it possible to put 1 & 1/2 places?
EDIT: Is there an answer on my question of monitors?
yeah don't worrie about it, its not a problem, ive seen 20+ crt monitors on those tables just as long your not taking the other gamers (across from you) mouse area :P
Showing off or not, it's a legitimate question Paladin. Where do we draw the line? No, I'm not bringing a 50" Plasma along with me, and wouldn't ever do it, but that's not to say someone might one day want to? So I put it forward... monitors are getting cheaper and cheaper these days... back in the day, even a 21" CRT was a pain in the ass as far as table room went. Now with TV's showing high enough resolution, big enough to have a footbring that rivals most double doors and cases that extend passed some peopes waists, all affordable to many more people then they used to be, it's probably an issue that needs to be addressed at some point in the near future.
Its not an issue. If its too big that it causes a problem for the other 2 people sitting on the same desk as you, then you will have to either change it or go home.
unseen is right, i have a big arse monitor at home, but i dont use it for lans i think most ppl dont bring huge screens to lans, if they do thats their problem if it doesnt fit they can go home. i mean seriously its a lan, not a cinema.
