Hey fellas,
Have any of you completed an ITIL course?
Work is sending me off to complete the ITIL? Fundamentals Foundation Certificate next week. Leave tomorrow (Sunday) morning bright an early.

I hear the exam is a bit of a basturd. :-(

Any hints and tips would be great!

I once did a day of ITIL learning, that apparently counted as a course.

I can't even remember what ITIL stands for, L is for library!

we played with trains, it was fun.

Though it was an acronym for workplace practices and processes.

Yeah i did an ITIL course and passed it. And yes the final exam was hard.

its not hard, just have to answer EXACTLY as the ITIL standard prescribes

And make sure your aren't the slightest bit tired while being trained, as it is really dry material, and could easily put you asleep.

I am back!
Passed the exam without much drama. The 3 days were zzzzz material.
Work paid for mine, but it's roughly a 2k course plus "50usd for the exam.

Isn't that some sort of ISO 900X type of management practice? I got bosses who shit themselves in the pants studying that stuff every year.

It touches briefly on Australian and International standards, very briefly. The course did get interesting towards the end because all the parts fell into place and it made alot of sense. But at the beginning I needed serious caffine hits to keep me upright.
