Brisbane vs Adelaide - both premiership quality sides, both playing amazing fast-faced football. Hands were brilliant, kicks on target but at the end of the day it was Adelaide's biggest win this season and Brisbane's biggest defeat this season.
This is sure to fire the guys up; I have no doubt Adelaide will be following this up with confidence and some cracking wins in coming weeks.
I whole heartly agree rec, nobody gave us a chance and I'm sorry to say that I let the media get to me and I too thought they were no chance.
My god imagine if we had a full squad of players to pick from!
Chris McDermott and the other so called sports journos in Adelaide should eat humble pie this week. After the game last week he suggested there was no way we could win on the road against Bribane and we should rest all injured players.
Stuff you McDermott and Rucci too.... GO THE CROWS :D
Quote from JugV2;307461: Agreed. If the Bombers are to have a chance this year they need to have a red hot look at their kicking accuracy.
And the unfortunate truth about this is that there is no overnight fix. The problem lies in individual player skill, and it'll take them until the end of season to rectify it, and by then it will obviously be too late.
And seriously, Res I'm sure you'll agree with me, our forward line is the only thing stopping us from being the undisputed best side in the league. Our backs and mids are brilliant, but with people like Perry up front we're really suffering. Can't catch, can't kick.
As much as Modra was a complete wanker, man we need someone like him back...
Quote: Tony Modra was both the hero and the villain of the Adelaide fans. He topped the Crows goal kicking in 1993 to 1997 and scored 440 goals in 118 games. In 1993 he kicked the "ton" with 129 goals. Despite his record it is felt that he has not played up to his standard and has suffered from being in a one team town. Unfortunately he was injured in the preliminary final in 1997 and missed the Crows first premiership. After returning from knee injury in 1998 he failed to regain form and was not considered for the Grand Final.
He was traded to Fremantle for the 1999 season. By the middle of the 2001 season his knees had given out and he retired. He had taken his games tally to 165 with 588 goals.

Was at the game last night and the Crows were all over Brisbane like a rash. Brisbane's kicking was inaccurate and they were disorganised for much of the game. A few flashes of brilliance, but nowhere near enough to overcome the Crows. Bris has a bad habit of winning several away games then choking at home.

The last 2 weeks Loyd was out injured. Losing is what hapens when your team is without the games premier forward, and the target the bombers gameplan is setup to feed. With him in the team they have only lost 1 game this season and it was a close one. Otherwise its been pretty convincing wins. Just amazes me how quick people are to write them off, it happens every year.
Anyone catch Melbourne vs WB on Sunday? Another ripper of a game, truly a shame that Melb couldn't grab one more goal - their season is over already unfortunately.
Those power boys sure are playing good footy and thanks to geelong beating west coast they now sit on top of the ladder. However I feel we may lose to a pissed off Sydney this week in Sydney, unless Tredrea finds form and kicks a bag.

Caught the last 15 minutes, and I was barracking for the bulldogs, merely due to the poor results of my tips so far - I really needed that one!
I'm a bombers fan but we won't make the 8 this year.....the young fellas are great but they take 2-3 years to develop, they will fade midway through the season.
I thought Geelong were going to be good last year, and they were until about round 10, i'll wait this year before putting some $$ on them for the flag.
There wasn't much doubt in my mind that Adelaide were going to beat Brissie, the Lions are about 2 years away from being a contender, they have a good team but it's young.
Port will be the more successfull SA team this year. Adelaide I feel have not recruited particularly well the last few years and I think have let some players go that they shouldn't have.
Freo will suck apart from Headland, he will go great guns this year after the tribunal that wasn't :P
Sydney will bounce back, they always have slow starts to their seasons, look at their past 2 years and you will see this year is no aberration. SP?
Richmond and Melbourne have no hope this year.
Hawthorn is internally crippled, not much hope there for a top 4 finish
Cartlon...well if you support Carlton.....just go shoot yourself now ok?!! :P
Top 8 i'm thinking
West Coast Geelong Port Adelaide Sydney North Melbourne Adelaide St Kilda Western Bulldogs
I didn't hear that.... if thats true thats the sack for sure.
Hes got two more years on his 5 year contract... did he get the job saying that after his 5 years it would take another 2 to be competitive? No bloody way he did.
He would have been hired to turn them around in 4-5 max.... that comment should get him the sack.
What and idiot... I dont think hes as great a coach as all the melbournians would like to think he is.
Yup he said it to a room of reporters and Richmond high ups about a month ago. Basically said before he came there was a recruiting blackhole and because of that he had to start from scratch and his team would take another 4-5 years to mature.......
Basically giving every Richmond player an excuse if they lost a game.
" Well the coach says we will be right in 2011 "
I agree , i've never been a fan of his coaching style or philosophy
