I'd be up for some online Texas Holdem. Looking forward to seeing replies in this thread, interested to know what's the biggest and best out there...

Post 3

I enjoy Holdem, don't know if i'd ever devote time to playing it online though.

Post 4

i play sometimes, just for fun no money, on poker.com

Pokerstars is lightyears ahead of Party Poker IMO for look and feel.
I play probably 4 days a week or more. Often just 1/2 hour in my lunch break.

Post 6

Yup Pokerstars.com FTW. I too play quite frequently (taking unscarreds money as often as I can).

I've tried Partypoker.com / 888.com and Pacificpoker to name just a few and I always come back to the superior interface of pokerstars.com

I'm happy to join a table and take you all down. :p

I luv Texas Hold em, I actually watched bout 5 hours of The World Poker Tour over the weekend (Thank you Joost :P) I'm gonna have a gander at pokerstars, see how she plays out.

Its all your WTP favourites playing with their own money.

Biggest pot so far $575,000

I've been playing at PokerStars - already lost $30. Shame, I was up $50 at one stage. :P

Spent a few hours with PartyPoker, don't really like it. I'll be sticking with PokerStars.

If you consistantly do well, then put some cash aside specifically for it and stick to that small limit.

i'd suspect poker with fake money isn't an accurate representation of poker for real stakes. with nothing to lose people are far more likely to play rashly.

Post 15

And they do, very much so.

The nails head has been hit upon.

i play on party poker around once a week. i prefer playing in person though, so many people on online poker use pot odds calculators and such.

Quoted for truth.

Once you play for real money, the fake stuff just doesn't cut it any more.

I mean you can't make a decent bluff if there is no penalty attached to them calling and being wrong.

I play poker too much to mention.

And a vast majority of the regulars play at Partypoker.
Its used to the #1 site till about 4 months or so back when the US pased serveral laws agianst online poker sites. So that killed alot of the US players and the way the tournaments where played ( as there used to be real money up for grabs (insignificant but real).

As mention before its not a accurate game as since not much or no real money up for grabs people dont play properly.

As for uber tard reference to odds calcualtors thats correct people run them on the side. But if you do play against a regular player we can do it in our head so it really wouldnt matter.
The only beneift on playing in real is that you can read the player and feel the table vibes.
