like most sports you need to play it before you can appreciate it
watch the liverpool vs chelea game at 330am and u will know why :D
i cant wait :D
liverpool has been in poor form lately...
its good because every ****ing time a team gets close to scoring a goal, its like your having a premature heart attack... in a good way :P

yeah its the same story, we play a shitty team and we ****ing loose, we play a decent team and we win
****ing frustrating
I think if you can appreciate the fluency and skill of the game then you will understand soccer. It's not only the goals that make it entertaining for me, but the build-up to goals and the momentum swings. Think of it like foreplay lol! It can be frustrating.
The worst thing for me is the trying to get friends into the game and the dark-side of soccer reveals itself (diving). But I have noticed that in other contact sports as sports-people become more competitive the theatrics become part of the game.
Joga Bonito!
i've never really found soccer interesting. i've tried to watch premier league games and stuff but it just doesn't keep my interest. watching the highlights clips and seeing the goals is well cool though.
but in saying that i love NFL and follow it closer than any other sport but tonnes of people I know think it's the most boring thing ever.
The trips and crunching tackles will always be there but it is up to the players to know when to go for the ball and when your leg is going to get snapped in half.
You just wait until the Aussies win a World Cup with a dive. :P
We all know there isn't another way to win that thing. The refs have it locked down.

nfl is boring. highlight packages are good tho, or watching it without the never ending stoppages. only major american sport i can really stand to watch is the ice hockey. nhl r0x0r.
nothing makes soccer good, except maybe a highlight package of nothing but freak goals. it's not fun to play and it's not enjoyable to watch
I guess when Australia become more of a strength in world people will get into the passion of the game.
People don't have time nowadays to appreciate sports. That's why highlight packages are just enough to keep people entertained. The A-league needs to become more prominent with locals so people have the passion to follow a local team.
Anywho, there's gotta be a reason that football (soccer) is considered the world game!

I dont see how people can think like that personally..
I find football (soccer) to be THE most entertaining sport to watch and play.... i cant help but get excited as my team gets closer and closer to the goal... if they score its the most awesome thing to watch.... and if they dont you actually feel the disappointment... and then you still get excited the next time up the field... i love it..
I dont understand how people can enjoy watching NRL, AFL or NFL its boring as shit IMO.... but i assume that the people who like it view in soccer the same way...
guess u havent had the feeling of playing the game, then beating you player and run in to score the winning.
I've probably experienced that more times than you've experienced the creation of a coherent statement.
Coherency has no place on a forum! :P That being said... ZOMG! EPIC FOOTBALL FTW! L I V E R P O O L LIVERPOOL! (and yes I said football because it's against the rules to use your hands, afl could learn something from this :P )

yeah then why is probably the most famous goal of all... one that was scored with the hand? oh thats right, part and parcel of soccer, gaming the ref is one of the most important skills you can learn.
