I advertised in the NT News yesterday for a technician. If anybody is interested, take a look in the paper or email me on darwinitjob@gmail.com
I'm paying nearly $40k per year plus super (depending on experience), maybe more if I get the right person. Maybe even more again if they are a gun.
I've attached the job ad and the position description. Dont PM me for info as my PM box is almost full and I can't be arsed cleaning it out. Use the email above for any other questions.
If you are going to send in a CV or an application, make it relevant. I dont care about your elite burger flipping skills from your hungry jacks days, or how many cocktails you poured a night at Discovery. Feel free to go into as much detail as you like about your IT experience tho.
And for Gods sakes, dont go on about your uber MS Word/Office skills and send me a CV that looks like it was prepared by monkeys by cutting letters out of a magazine and sticking them on with clag while they were drunk and blindfolded. (yes I already have one of them) It makes you look stupid.
The problem is no1 has the love for it these days :( freakin customers always ruining the IT experience :( I'd come work for ya man but I spoke to the MVR the other day and apparently even tho I have held muh L's for like the last 3 years I will still have to wait 6 months after renewing it to get muh P's
We are still going thru the motions. Done some interviews, more to do.
Level 1 would be your standard help desk type person. Eg the person at bigpond who gets to tell you that your internet wont work because of your firewall/virus/spyware.
Level 2 would be more the type of person who goes out on site, checks the pc, checks the modem, checks the cable, then finds out its actually a routing issue and tells you the bigpond help desk is manned by idiots.
Thats just an example. (even tho it's based on fact)
