Zeitgeist - The Movie
I know it's long at 2 hours but well worth watching very interesting.
ffs.
Reslo's angry because of two reasons... first of all, I've already mentioned this doco here... secondly, he knows deep down that the religion he was indoctrinated into due to region of birth and culture, is actually a load of shit. :P

rec.... never 100% correct.
Like your belief system. :P
Like any 'system'
At least you accept it's a system. One for generating profit and being used as a device for control over the common people.
IT'S ON IRISH MAN! :D
so all systems are run for profit... where does the GU community money go rec... hmmm.... you plan is unravelling.
Whats being Irish got to do with it anyway... farkin racist.
No, I said this one was designed for that, not all. Read closer. ;)
rec honestly you are just a complete tool when it comes to religion.
its one thing not to believe in god, who cares if someone does or doesn't? i know i don't.
but its an entirely different thing to criticize people who do and go out of your way to make fun of them.
dont worry, i think the same about you cow
Quote from Cow;345650:

that's MY opinion, which i've held for a while...just like rec has an opinion.
Love hearing from ya mate :)

I criticise and make fun of the religiously-inclined individuals who blndly believe what is fed to them, and neglect to actually weigh up contradictory evidence and ideas. I do this, in the same way I criticise any blind believer, be it a religious belief, political belief, or otherwise.
What I have a problem with, is blind faith, not faith. I have many religious friends, many of which I have much respect for. I don't know one way or the other of there's a God or if religion holds warrant, and am very understanding and accepting of those who have alternate ideas to me.
In this particular case, I wasn't making fun of anyone, or criticising anyone - I was having an amusing forum-flame with one of those aforementioned people... one that I respect, unlike you.
well said rec, quite an interesting watch, gotta watch the rest when i get home

lol makes me think of Hyde from that 70's show :P THE MANS KEEPING US DOWN MAN!
well had I been a dreaded necro poster this thread wouldnt be here but just as much annoyance from the old one revived. I liked it.
These days I am so used to getting information instantly, courtesy of teh intarwebs (aka TLDRitis), that I don't like sitting through entire shows. So I tend to scroll through it quickly to get a sense of things.
So the first 30 minutes is dissing on christianity. Yawnsville. I'm an atheist, I don't care who Paul ripped off.
The rest seems to be 9/11 conspiracy nutjobbery. Because "crazy sky man worshippers do crazy shit sometimes" isn't enough of a conspiracy, hmm? I don't quite see the connection, but then, I'm watching the thing at about 50x speed.
By the end of it the preponderance of photos of Martin Luther King and the like and the substitution of quotes that belong in comic books and on websites written by the Anti-Brain suggests that they've run out of actual material. If indeed they started with any.
Credits flash on the screen and I'm glad I illegally downloaded it, thus depriving these nose-breathers of any return on their investment in their own death-defying dullness.
but it was interesting to watch tho, right?
Its not a doco you can purchase - you can stream it from zeitgeistmovie.com. They encourage its distribution.
And why attempt to review something if you haven't actually watched it? :P

Or in millys case breeders. ;)
I make fun of anyone so ignorant as to blindly follow what they are told without investigating themselves, whether it be religion or whatever as well as people who can't accept that some things we just dont know and so apply some stupid fictional reasoning.
Sadly thats a huge portion of the population.
Edit: A good example of my opinion is in a Star Trek episode, I forget which one but its from one of the Deep Space Nine series. Basically the quote is between Janeway and some philosopher in the holodeck where she was trapped at the time and it was, (And Im paraphrasing at best):
"Could this bird ever understand mathematics or astronomy?"
"No, it could not, its mind is just too small"
"Then can't you accept that as a person there are some things your mind is just too small to understand"
"I'd be a fool if I didnt"
Better than TV

Ah the impatience of youth today.
If you'd actually watched the film you would realise how the three major topics entwine and the overarching message is to research and form an opinion for yourself. Given that research on such a massive scale would take more than the two hours it would have taken you to watch the film... I suggest you just give up making any sort of social commentary in the future. I make this statement because it's obvious you gain your information in short bursts, ie. off Minties wrappers.
Just stick with the Maccas and Big Brother ol' chum.

Rec says : dont believe what youve been told all your life believe what im telling you now i also have no proof what i say is true but trust me im right I mean i must be i drink belgian beers.
you guys all talk like religion is a load of bs and you say dont follow anything without researching it but what research have you actually done? In my past i did research into a miracle that happened early 1900's in Fatima. 3 kids claimed they saw an angel who told them there would be a miracle a year from then and to come back that day. Many people called the children liars but word spread and on that day the year later it appeared the sun was growing larger and moving towards them and apparently many sick people who had gathered were healed. Now i cant say for the healing bit but under a week before the "miracle" a volcano had erupted halfway accross the world and the volcanic dust and smoke traveled with the winds to be just in the right spot to create the optical illusion of the sun growing larger. Now you can say ahah not a miracle but seriously how the **** would those kids have known something like that was gonna happen a year before it did?
I agree with rec in that I dont believe its right to press my beliefs onto others but why is it any different when he tries to press his on BELIEF in aetheism onto others?
Davinci and Einstein both religious but rec? yeah he knows what hes talking about.
anyways thats my 2cents
Einstein wasn't religious - common misconception. You obviously need to do more research. ;)
Oh and in relation to your miracle talk; please watch "The Root of All Evil" part 1.

Zeitgeist debunked - Unexplained Mysteries Discussion Forums
edit:
Heres another film for you to watch on the subject, I know how you like to get views from all sides.
Zeitgeist - Spirit of The Age Refuted
[link to video.google.com]
90 minutes spent refuting and exposing the false claims made in the first third of Zeitgeist, other books and films like Da Vinci Code and sourced authors named including Acharya S and others.
There are many websites anti-Zeitgeist, and many websites pro-Zeitgeist.
It's an alternate bias from the shit we're fed day-in day-out by the institutions that control most of what we see, hear and read. The idea is that you think for yourself; do your own research.
In regards to the genuine Zeitgeist critisism, they're creating a sequel due out this year which combats that too. It's a never ending cycle, and there won't be a winner... the winner is supposed to be you, armed with knowledge, to make up your own mind.
Oh and Reslo, I've already watched that, and apparently there's some other vid on the way rubbishing the refutal video too. Round and round. ;)
I find it interesting that you choose not to share it with anyone...
Zeitgeist is what all of these for-and-against videos and texts are revolving around. I didn't go and post about other videos supporting the Zeitgeist claims, either.

Are you serious? You seriously trust the path of information that brought that story you just quoted from 3 kids mouths to your eyes/ears? Even if it is true, why should it be attributed to a god or some kind of other divine being? Weird stuff happens all the time, it doesn't meed some supreme entity was behind it. People dream the future all the time. I've heard many an anecdote... But attributing it to some invisible man in the sky equals nothing but insanity in my opinion.
Humans need all this crap to make themselves feel comfortable. To make them secure. When a loved one dies everyone likes to think that they're in a better place - so they feel better. They don't want to think that they're just rotting in the ground. If people live their whole lives believing in fairy tales what chance do we have as a species...
It's insanity. Pure insanity. The fact people readily accept this as the truth makes it more troubling.

Who's pressing beliefs? To my knowledge rec has never rocked up at someone's door at 10am on a Sunday morning preaching that God doesn't exist. He's just expressing his opinion.
Bringing up great human minds and their religious beliefs will bring you no credibility, nor will it scathe rec's. Your point is hopeless and proves nothing but your inability to reason and to produce a solid argument.
By the way, the term 'belief in antheism' is an oxymoron... He DOESN'T believe in a god of any form. Athiesm is not a religion, therefore you can't 'believe' in it... Capeesh?

Given that you're the TLDR author around here, I trust you didn't read my post in its entirety?
On a side note, Zeitgeist was a movie to promote your own research and thought. Looks like it was successful in that regard...
I trust it cause my grand parents were alive at the time and are near that region of portugal and i heard it from their mouths. The kids said it was an angel, typically angels refer to the divine.
Einstein was religious..... Seen stuff in his research where he affirmed gods existence and never anything to the contrary froma reliable source.
He believes that there is no god.... um that is a belief, the fact that it is a belief in nothing over something doesnt make it any less a belief. I believe you lack intelligence the fact that its a lack of intelligence rather then the existence of intelligence doesnt make it less a belief i have.
Just in case i was too subtle i think your an idiot.
Not because of your beliefs but because you seem to actually believe your arguments will change anyones minds.

No, he wasn't. You're factually wrong here, 100%. Do some real research. There was a letter of his made public just days ago which revealed his affirmation that belief in God is childish superstition. But as Grand Inferno said; using what faith in God intellects did or didn't have as ammunition is ridiculous, and the fact you'd attempt to back up your own poorly constructed argument with it is idiocy.

The dictionary says:
n. One who disbelieves or denies the existence of God or gods.
It does not say:
n. One who believes that he does not believe in God.
I don't believe in atheism. I am an atheist, in the sense I don't believe at all.
Where as your full of shit with saying your uncle said something im actually telling the truth my parents are from Freixanda in the region of Ourem in portugal which is in close vicinity to Fatima and were alive at the time the events occured and experienced them.
In 1929, Einstein told Rabbi Herbert S. Goldstein "I believe in Spinoza's God, who reveals Himself in the lawful harmony of the world, not in a God Who concerns Himself with the fate and the doings of mankind." In a 1950 letter to M. Berkowitz, Einstein stated that "My position concerning God is that of an agnostic. I am convinced that a vivid consciousness of the primary importance of moral principles for the betterment and ennoblement of life does not need the idea of a law-giver, especially a law-giver who works on the basis of reward and punishment." Einstein also stated: "I have repeatedly said that in my opinion the idea of a personal God is a childlike one. You may call me an agnostic, but I do not share the crusading spirit of the professional atheist whose fervor is mostly due to a painful act of liberation from the fetters of religious indoctrination received in youth".
You misinterpret his disbelief that god will reward the good and punish the bad with thinking that he disbelieved in god entirely which was never the case.
Definition of belief from Dictionary.com : something believed; an opinion or conviction.
To say you dont believe in a divine power is your opinion your conviction your BELIEF.
I belive god is alive and walks amounst us. You may pray to him by clicking my name to the right and sending a privite message.

Seriously dude, that's one of the worst sentences I have EVER read. Try using punctuation next time...
I don't think I mentioned that anyone was STUPID for believing in a god, I just mentioned that I thought it was insane. Maybe I did say something to that effect (I don't think I did), I can't be bothered reading what I wrote again.
Quote from DoWhatUWant;345812:

So we've resorted to name calling now. Dude, I'm just expressing my f*cking view. Do you really think that I reckon I can sway people who come from such a religiously indoctrinated society? Probably not. You're obviously passionate about this story as you've heard it from your family and you trust them. That's fine, but it doesn't sway me in the slightest. I had hoped for a more intelligent response than "your and idiot"... and it's "you're" as in "you are" buddy. Perhaps when you're abusing people you could structure your sentences a bit better and learn to spell.
So you're saying that rec believes in not believing in a god? That really is quite ridiculous.
Have a wonderful evening.
I apologise for allowing myself to drop to your level grandinferno.
Amazing counter argument though to complain about my punctuation..... very relevant.....
i said rec's belief is that god does not exist is that too complicated for you to understand?

I complained about your punctuation because I couldn't understand your sentence. Why you continue to mock me I don't get either...
I'm not counter-arguing at all. There is no argument when it comes to faith. You have faith. I have none.
I don't know about this 'dropping to my level' business. If you want to make an argument one important aspect is that your audience is able to understand what you're saying... and I'm not the one calling you an idiot.
I spent my whole education going to Christian/Catholic schools. My opinion on religion is just that, an opinion. I think I have a fairly well thought out view and have definitely experienced 'God's way' through this schooling system... My view is obviously one that you don't agree with.
I'm not getting into an argument about semantics either. I really don't understand your point, apart from some bizarre story about a miracle...
Let's just agree to disagree and cease the name calling... I think I've been considerate to your view at least.
There was another story about miracles, that is still believed fervently today. The story has been told, retold, written and re-written, across several languages.
They call it the Bible.

I'm going to let someone else tell my point of view, as I'm sure it has already been told on these forums before, as I'm sure many of you have heard it too. This sums up my opinion better than anything I could word. Oh, and by the way... has everyone who has decided to chime in on this topic actually WATCHED the movie that we're discussing? Most of this quote is actually in it...
"When it comes to BULLSH!T...BIG-TIME, MAJOR LEAGUE BULLSH!T... you have to stand IN AWE, IN AWE of the all time champion of false promises and exaggerated claims, religion. Religion easily has the greatest bullsh!t story ever told. Think about it, religion has actually convinced people that there's an INVISIBLE MAN...LIVING IN THE SKY...who watches every thing you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten special things that he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish where he will send to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry for ever and ever 'til the end of time...but he loves you. He loves you ...and he needs money! He's all powerful, but he can't handle money! ... I want you to know, when it comes to believing in god- I really tried. I really really tried. I tried to believe that there is a god who created each one of us in his own image and likeness, loves us very much and keeps a close eye on things. I really tried to believe that, but I gotta tell you, the longer you live, the more you look around, the more you realise...something is F*CKED-UP. Something is WRONG here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is NOT good work. If this is the best god can do, I am NOT impressed. Results like these do not belong on the resume of a supreme being. This is the kind of sh!t you'd expect from an office temp with a bad attitude. And just between you and me, in any decently run universe, this guy would have been out on his all-powerful-ass a long time ago." George Carlin
I never said i believe in any of the established faiths. I do believe that there is something grreater then people out there.
Your opinion comes in the form or a quote from a Comedians stand up routine........
Just on the topic of Einstien, he wasn't religious, nor a man of organised religion (he in fact dispised it) - but he was most definitely a man of faith. I know about the letter, but there's by far more evidence to the contrary. Evidence that reads in lines much more along those of the scientist (calculating), and less along the lines of the opionist (inflamatory).
You can take the newly surfaced information at face value all you like, but as with everyone's views and opinions at the time, and as scientifically scrupulous as you could claim to be - everyone was deeply affected by the grim shadow of the events of the Holocaust.
Quote from Jammer, Max, Einstein and Religion (Princeton University Press, 1999), p. 97:
In view of such harmony in the cosmos which I, with my limited human understanding, am able to recognize, there are yet people who say there is no God. But what really makes me angry is that they quote me for the support of such views.
There's a contradictory example.
I think my favourite Einstien quote is this one:
Quote from Dukas & Hoffman, Albert Einstein - The Human Side (Princeton University Press, 1979), p. 32 - 33:
I have tried to respond to your question as simply as I could. Here is my answer. Scientific research is based on the idea that everything that takes place is determined by laws of nature, and therefore this holds for the actions of people. For this reason, a research scientist will hardly be inclined to believe that events could be influenced by a prayer, i.e. by a wish addressed to a supernatural Being.
However, it must be admitted that our actual knowledge of these laws is only imperfect and fragmentary, so that, actually, the belief in the existence of basic all-embracing laws in Nature also rests on a sort of faith. All the same this faith has been largely justified so far by the success of scientific research. But, on the other hand, every one who is seriously involved in the pursuit of science becomes convinced that a spirit is manifest in the laws of the Universe — spirit vastly superior to that of man, and one in the face of which we with our modest powers must feel humble. In this way the pursuit of science leads to a religious feeling of a special sort, which is indeed quite different from the religiosity of someone more naive.
That was in response to a letter a grade-school kid sent him, asking him if scientists pray, heh.
If you search the web (hah), there's also all kinds of snippets around with some citations (although they be harder to chase).
But this probably represents his stance in its completeness. Apparently cited from his Obituary in the NY Times.
Quote from New York Times, April 19, 1955:
My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive With our frail and feeble minds. That deeply emotional conviction of the presence of a superior reasoning power, which is revealed in the incomprehensible Universe, forms my idea of God.
On an interesting, and perhaps unrelated philosophical note:
Consider that 2000 years of religious history and practice encourages the indoctrination of moral principals on a society. Education, politics, law, they're all infused in some way with a religious background. A set of tales that display or encourage the consequence of actions.
Often, you hear people say "we should just abolish religion".
In truth, it's kind of interesting to consider what might happen if that did take place. If you look at it on a grander scale - say over 5,000 years, then it's even more interesting.
Religion preaches pretty much one thing that cross-borders culture, and that is that all men are equal. They share the same value, the same worth, and should therefore treat each other equally and adhere to the same rules.
Now, if you put that in modern context, a man's worth, his social value, it's no longer dictated by a spiritual or religious context. It's about his wallet, his pay-packet, the accumulation of his 'stuff', his family values and his accomplishments that better society. But if you take away even the context of religion from that, then accomplishment removes the equality from worth.
So if you were to consider that, as of now, this very minute, laws were stripped of religion, all books and notations were burnt, the information superhighway was purged of all religious material, cultures built up religious ideals were instantaneously forgotten and their teachings dismissed - then you'd still need to wait generations to see verbal education of such principles wane. Let's say another 500 years pass. Eventually, that verbal passing of information becomes "mysticism" and hearsay. People slowly forget the details and can no longer pass them on.
Culture and society now stem no longer from an ingrained set of moral laws through religious indoctrination. It's purely laid out in law, governmental or corporate ideals. But what you've lost is the element of human equality. Is your worth now dictated by your purpose?
Can a person in control of those laws now alter them to benefit a minority? What do the majority have to fall back on if this happens? If you take away the indoctrinated consequence of actions, and the sense of eternal justice for not adhering to those rules, has it in any way eliminated our nature for greed? or envy?
If you add centuries or millennium to that, it's an interesting prospect. If there's no moral equality, how much under-lying emotion is pinned to that concept when it spans such as grand period of time as the past 2000 years.
That prospect seems a little scary. It'd probably make a fine science fiction endeavour :p
You all need to remember what a belief is.
and remember how it is almost impossible to change someone elses.
and arguing that my beliefs are what you should believe is the most useless waste of time and brain function that exisists.
I wasn't arguing, I was encouraging critical thinking ;)
Doyen; religion doesn't govern or install morals and ethics - these moral principles are seen in primitave animals, thus existed in humans long before organised religion, and will remain long after religion and superstition fade away.
Core morals are not neccessarily inate, although they could be, as is basic math and the muscle motor ability to attempt to walk on two legs. The more logical explaination however, is that you learn at a very young age what pain is, emotionally and physically, and that you don't like it, so shouldn't attempt to inflict it upon others. These things are learnt both concioussly and unconciouslly, as are concepts of what might be deemed acceptable, not acceptable, wright and wrong, based on what is required for a family and community to prosper.
And religion most certainly doesn't create any type of equality among humans. In fact, we can thank religion for a very large and detremental chunk of the descrimination seen in society today. Steps are being taken to change this, like the Catholic church's stance of homosexuality, but in essence what they've just done is go against the word of their God. And at the end of the day, the "my God is realer than your God" fueds will burn for generations to come, until intelligence finally overcomes fear and irrationality.
Ah religion and politics, they create the best threads.
Quote from rec;345856:
Doyen; religion doesn't govern or install morals and ethics.
Of course they do. Language documents principles. If there's no purpose, it isn't re-iterated over the passage of time.
Quote from rec:
And religion most certainly doesn't create any type of equality among humans.
Again, they dictate the moral codes by which people of those faiths live. They differ from each other, true, but in principle essence - the common thread between them - is the same.
You yourself have said previously:
Quote from rec;300216:
Buddhism has its own list of issues, but it's definately the one I'd be following if I were ever to adopt a commitment for religion.
http://www.gamers-underground.com/forum/newreply.php?do=newreply&p=300216
(Granted, perhaps this no longer holds true for you - I don't know)
But its interesting, as that's predominantly what Buddhism, for example, is all about. A sense of equality (or, if you prefer, harmony) in and between all things, with an apex of wisdom.
We can continue to disagree - I've honestly no problem in that. But I work in literature, so, you know, when your whole job revolves around studying how we represent ourselves through our records - be they pictorial or the written word; you have to consider that we record those things that are important to us. That's what history is all about.
We'll record those things, which as a species, are important as they impact us and the way in which we conduct our lives.

Yes. How dare he express his beliefs more than once. How silly of him to defend them if anyone professes to believe in the Almighty. It's obviously signs of something deeper, snigger nudge nudge. Gawd I'm awesome, I'm totally going first when the Rapture happens!

I have foreign name. So not everyone gets me at first. Or at all. :)

I basically came to this thread to make fun of rec. That's one of my many roles hereabouts. But even more vacuous sorts have wriggled out of the wood, so I find myself uncomfortably sticking up for him, after a fashion.
Dammit. Where's Harb to pithily sum up the stupidity?

I'd reply to that, but El Presidente did a fine job...

so you're like, a preacher of atheism.
which is you know, kind of hipocrytical. going around telling people who do believe that they are idiots and they should listen to you.
here i always thought an atheist was someone who chooses to not give a shit. when all along we should be converting people!

What you believe, and whether or not you choose to share that belief with others, are two very different things.
There are atheists who feel that religious conviction is harmful to individuals and society; that gives them the moral impulse to go out and try to deconvert the faithful. There are others, like me, who see most religious beliefs as mostly harmless, with some exceptions.
Incidentally, I became an atheist after going to church with an ex-girlfriend for a year.
why the hell would go to church with an EX for. glutton for punishment?
I just thought it pertinent to weigh in my opinion here...
Cow's right, Mepm is a ****ing idiot.
Something we agree on. ;)
Quote from paladin;345984:

I didn't phrase it very well. She wasn't an ex- at the time.
Having sex in the following few days was conditional to nodding in church and pretending to mouth the words during songs. So.
The extremes guys go to eh... ;)
Ahhh the church.
The place where people go to cleanse themselves of guilt.
Did I say guilt? I meant Sin. Then they can go out and do it all again the following week :p

if anyones the ****ing idiot, its you.
I was just letting everyone know I wouldn't be around, I don't use any other means to talk to anyone in this community. It was hardly a boo-hoo post, and yes, things settled down on my end and I have the luxury of being able to check up on the forum every once and a while.
Life happens.
The difference is, you're still the biggest running joke this community has ever seen.
"Wow, I'm so ****ing cool I downl.... i mean, legally acquired said movie/TV Show/Game, EVERYONE QUICK LOOK AT ME!"
It occurred to me last night that whether or not Einstein believed in God (he was at best a deist, not a theist, by the way) is about as relevant as whether Jesus believed in the ether theory of light transmission. ie, it doesn't matter either way and in no way establishes the truth of the matter.
If you want to get fancy, this fallacy is called ad verecundiam. Translated for the TLDR crowd that means 'argument from authority'.
but either way, i bet jesus loved cheese.
and grandinferno - don't rag on people for incorrect word usage when you're an offender too :P

you just have had the shits since i debunked your katherine flood bs aaaages ago. you were wrong then, and havent gotten over it.
i dont know you, nor do i wish to-so a big f.u.
Righteo kiddies - not really interested anymore. Take it to PM's, offline, wherever - if you're going to start getting personal, then start somewhere else.
This thread used to be interesting - it's about a topic, it's about opinions, it's NOT about he-said, she-said.

There's a HUGE difference between a typo and the inability to spell or phrase sentences correctly... In case you haven't noticed the 'n' is next to the 'm' on the keyboard. Fair is fair my friend... Although you MAY be attempting humour - try more of your cheese related references next time. I did chuckle a little at that...
mepm: "i dont publicly state that i download stuff due to forum guidelines you tool." You just did in that sentence.
Xaine: I agree. *retracts comment to mepm... :P
Can we PLEASE talk about Zeitgeist the movie!!! PLEASE!!!
Aww don't stop now. I just had cable cut off and rss set up on the updates of all this...
Maybe someone needs to start up a pure flaming thread to accommodate the audience...
Please? :D
We used to have Flamewars threads.
They degenerated into post count threads.
I'm innocent, I swear.
That 's pretty lame... lol.
Zeitgeist? Anyone? :|

Knight still schools all of us in post count anyway so what does it matter?
heh grandinferno, I wasn't attempting any humour in that post - not the bit referring to you anyway, unless you consider yourself to be a joke?! that's very self-denigrating of you.
and to be honest, i hadn't noticed the m is beside the n key, in all my years on computers i 've never spotted that one - so i must proclaim my joy at your unbelievably ****ing awesome insight! tell us more sensei! impart to us more of your glorious wisdom without which we are but ash in the wind of the intercyberwebnet. also be sure and strive for belittlement in the giving of your gems, that we may pretend to be less worthy than yourself in our use of this fandangled technology! [quick note, the preceding paragraph is rife with sarcasm.. just in case you missed it...]
now back to zeitgeist! when is the followup movie due?
Wow, Aegis. That was truly gay. ;)
what can i say rec, i'm trying to change for you ;P
OK Im leaving this thread now before balls start touching and it becomes truly gay.

I can't believe you wasted your time typing all that... with very little or no punctuation mind you... despite the fact you decided to attack me for making what I thought was a valid point about making an effort to write something that people can actually read. Quite an important aspect of communicating via a text-based medium. Your vapid ramblings are pathetic and you should keep them to yourself in the future. I didn't think that flaming people on the internet for no apparent reason was something that 30 year olds did... but alas, I must be wrong - as I'm sure you'll point out again in a follow-up post.
Anyway, I digress. Zeitgeist discussion anyone? In answer to your question - October I believe.
Yeah? WELL I HAVE AN ELEVEN FOOT PENIS!!!
lol atta boy grand! have a go at my punctuation! sure i dont bother putting apostrophes where they should go sometimes (usually when it's patently obvious one would be there), and i frequently don't bother capitalising sentences - but you know what, there isnt a single [insertdiety]damned thing wrong with what you quoted, and if you can't understand that post then i guess you need to find a better dictionary.
as for post length.. i think you've already shown i dont need to make any comment about that.
and flamewar? my apologies, i thought you were after one - but if you think my age should be an issue relating to it, have you ever watched a session of parliament? at least here they're semi-structured drivel. ;P
btw, thanks for the info about the next part, should be good. I love these sorts of shows. :)

You're grasping at straws now champ...
Hey, btw did you go to school in Darwin? We're the same age and I grew up there (only just left actually)...
Man, I just hate the fact that people cannot spell properly these days. It's a pet peeve of mine and seeing that I have to correct people's sh!t all day at work, it kind of continues on elsewhere. I honestly didn't understand the sentence in question otherwise I wouldn't have given him sh!t. Hey, I know I'm not perfect but the fact you started ragging on me because I made a typing error (not a spelling mistake or a grammatical error, but a common typo) sort of gave me the sh!ts. Anyway man, tis cool.
As far as Zeitgeist goes I thought it was fantastic. Not because of the 'facts' but more so that it encouraged me to research more and changed my outlook on ...stuff. If you listen to some of the interviews with the guy who made it, that's what he was trying to do... get people to do their own research and develop their own opinion. He succeeded in this I guess.
I too, long for the next part.
hehe all good, i love being a dick [some|all]times =)
Only went to primary school in darwin - Ludmilla, then got shipped south to ****ing boarding school on the gold coast.. so the moral of the story is: don't ever send your kids to boarding school ;P
And the show continues. It dragged on abit but I'm really starting to feel like I'm getting to know the main characters on a deeper level. Who ever said there was a writers strike, they all just came to GU.
