Edit: target reached! We welcome further donations however, as optimistically we'd love to recoup the costs of our website hosting while our server is offline! Thanks again!

Hi guys,

The server is currently sitting in OD's home-office, and it's not far from being ready! When it's sent back to Sydney it'll be running with twice the RAM, the extra CPU installed and a heap more storage space.

However, after chatting with Dan, we've decided to outlay some more cash and make one further upgrade before sending it back... a remote management board. Specifically, a Raritan eRIC Express remote management board.

Having this would mean that if ever a component died, or the server went down for any reason and it was unaccessible, this would give us a back-door in to be able to fix it remotely. This means mere days down if there's a major issue, rather than the months we've seen this time.

$309.97 is the money raised via Google advertising, but the product is $692.36, which means we're $382.39 short.

If you'd be interested in donating towards this cause, then please make your contribution via the PayPal Donation button, or by depositing it into the following bank account...

Please leave a message with your donation amount, and whether it was via Direct Deposit or PayPal.

Thanks guys!

Thanks for all your continued help Dan. ;)

Awesome guys, thanks for getting the ball rolling. And there's not neccessarily any need for huge donations, as the remaining target is much smaller than previous drives!

Cheers guys - the worst thing about the current situation is any issues, go to Sydney. This way that is not needed. Oh and with this it's more like hours down than days (or what we have at the moment - months).

$50.00 done.

Didn't edit the total (despite editing the spaces out of the acc no.) as the Ad money plus whats been posted doesn't match 'raised so far' so I'll leave that well alone.

How much has the hosting cost? If I can find some spare change I will make a donation.

Post 24

You've done enough if you ask me Poonda.

It's $30 a month I believe so you alone have paid for three months worth as we already reached the hardware target before you donated.
