Well a lot of you know I left Darwin at the start of the year and been travelling north america. I'm holed up in Banff, Alberta for the winter getting ready to learn how to snowboard! (so sue me im a Darwin chick ive never learnt how to balance on a board before)

was in beijing last year during there craziest winter ever...
cant use the trains the tracks iced over..
i dont miss it :) i feel for you spero unfortunately i never got to try sking or snow boarding :(

well back in Darwin I was up at 6am for work so it was darkish. Whats hard is getting up in the dark to go to work then when you finish work its dark :/

had my first snowboarding lesson, pretty much on my arse the whole time. HOLY SHIT its a massive workout though!!!

i found snowboarding very easy. getting off the lift however i never mastered without doing a face skid.
