As some of you know, I'm currently re-designing GU. The front page, instead of being a waste of space like it has for so many years, I want to serve as a news portal with feeds from a range of popular websites. In effect, becoming your one-stop for a brief look at recent news from around the interwebs.
Kotaku and Gametrailers.com are a couple that spring to mind, for unbias games journalism and trailers. Would Tom's Hardware be a good choice for, well, hardware? I've always thought quite highly of it.
I wanted to find a recent release/gone gold list too. If anyone knows of a website with such a list, please let me know.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for the front page?
for reviews i'd usually go to metacritic. kotaku and 1up also do good reviews, most of the rest of review sites seem to be in the pockets of the game developers.
toms hardware is where i'd usually go for hardware stuff.
simple and plenty of un-metered content with patches/etc
Shocking looking site since the new logo etc was launched but yes its very good for node customers to download new demos etc all unmetered. This would be a good option.
