Its available to the general public today ... downloading now from Microsoft themselves at quite a reasonable pace which is a surprise given how many ppl would be downloading this today.

Its 2.36G and will not expire until June 1 2010.

It only took around 40 mins from memory, so you should get it pretty quickly. I'm still using build 7068. Very stable OS.

OD is already running it. I've got my key, but won't be replacing Win 7 beta with the RC until next week when I'm back from Vegas/NYC.

Post 4

I have been using it for the last couple days, no problems so far. Wallpapers that come with it are prettier then previous versions of Windows.

Have had it for a lil while now, the RC1 release and love its stability! Much better than the Beta 7068 which I had before!
Now just need to wait for some drivers to be fixed and if all is swell will buy the 64bit version :D (which is what I'm currently using at the moment)

what does it do that 7068 doesn't?

Printing :D ...
Had problems when going to web-pages such as www.freshwap.com; like i'd highlight a link and chose copy, then when entering the paste link into another program it would only have the advertisment. Though sounds like an IE8 problem, I no longer have this problem in RC1. Other little bits and pieces here and there that I found but no longer care about as I now have RC1 on both my PC and laptop! And running b-e-a-utifuly!

Took about 40 minutes to download and another hour to install, on a crappy old laptop. Using thus laptop writing this. Easier install ever.

Post 9

Yeah been using it for a few days also, wish you could choose what you want installed during setup rather then having it install everything in one hit and then remove it after. Perhaps one day.

Great OS though, very smooth and no issues as yet.

upgraded from 7000 to 7100 last night, so far not many dramatic changes but still very impressive.
