Optus just rang my wife offering her a Nokia 5800 with 12 months free music download as a renewal on her $49 cap plan.
Does anyone have any experience with the 5800??
Online reviews seem mixed.
Would a current model iPhone on the same plan be a better deal?

Depends what you want it for Korny. For me it doesn't have the same features as my Touch Diamond but I fancy I'll have one at some stage. Slowly but surely they are bringing the specs up and the feature set is just about right now.
Weather in Dublin is good right now. I reckon I even got a touch of sunburn today! Check out my facebook page for pictures as I go.

Could be because it isn't meant to be a top of the line phone.

Including the fact that it sells more and is more profitable per unit.
