We got together this evening and created the GU fleet for the STO beta - "Project GU". If you're playing STO and want to join make sure you send me a friend request - @bam_stroker

Mostly I was just keen to see how the fleet stuff works. After the wipe we can reconstitute the fleet. Keep posting suggestions for fleet names if you have something you like the sound of more tha Project GU and maybe we'll have a poll after the beta closes before the proper launch.

Ok - just figured out what the fleet thing is good for. I.E. setting up random shit.

Over the course of a several hours play tonight I think I teamed up with half a dozen GU'ers at different times, helping them with their missions or them helping me with mine.

Best part was when we got a cry for help from Eater in the fleet channel who was hard up against some Naausican battleships he couldn't sort out on his own. If you wanted to properly RP it, it would come down to something like "Stardate 2431.2 we are responding to a distress call from Lieutentant Eater of the USS I'veforgottenaleady in the Celes Sector. We're proceeding a maximum warp..."
