Alas, LAN rights is being forced to change its name, the student union, in its infinite wisdom, has decided that it is racialist, and someone will complain one day.
So we have decided to avoid this kind of misconception about our LANs, we are obviously NOT racist, but we thought it would be funny.
So our new club name will be henceforth

the northern territory university student union society for the proliferation of local area network games which was formerly known as the Local area network rights club
we made a funny name and we have been denied it, we shall not go onto that societies list with the classy names of "labor club" or the "papua new guinea student's association" and the classic "students for christ", and be seen as ghey as "queers on campus", no we shall have a name that strikes f33r into the hearts of the beaurocracy, and puts a laff in the face of sensible gamer type people.
So we shalt not be the gay "ntu gamers society", we shall have a name that at least gets a giggle.

We is mid final year project right now so not too interested in organising lans :D
as ignite knows, he barely finished it last year, and he couldnt even ATTEND when we were holding them then.
In terms of name, as far as the uni is concerned we are called either LAN club, or NWC, as far as we're concerned, its still called lanrights :D
