can anybody can give me some help...like step by step [Blocked image] formatting through WinXP ??
it says that i can't formata hard drive with the system on it...but that is exactly what i need to do so...yeh..heh

Get a good old Bootdisk [Blocked image]
go through the startup stage.... till it comes up with
C:\
Then change directory to
A:\
then type,
format c:\
and it'll say
All data will be lost, are you sure you want to continue? (or something)
Press
Y
And that should be it.

i can't seem to do it on XP (XP is very alien to what i am used to [Blocked image] )

Do U know someone still runnin 95/98 ??
They can make 1 easily..
If not a linux boot/root disk set will allow U to fdisk the drive as well.

You can format using the XP cd if you actually have it. Just boot from it and follow the prompts, and you'll eventually got to the fdisk and formatting area.
