I have Voodoo. 3dfx put AF on permanently since the Voodoo2!

sif any Nvidia product has real AF or AA that works. BTW i do have an Nvidia card so i can talk about it [Blocked image]
nVidia's Implementation of Anisostropic Filtering is Shite (only 16tap), however ATI is worthwhile (256tap). The nVidia cards can only to anisostropic filtering in software, this means a big performance hit, for little gain. Again the ATI implementation is far superior with all 256 tap anisotropic filtering being done in hardware.
Dont bother with it, waste of time, just bin your graphics card, and buy a desent one (V5-5500, or ATI Radeon)
My Radeon looks beautiful with anisotropic filtering in 1024x768x32 bit colour, again another nVidia problem, they do not perform very will in 32bit colour. then you could always turn on 4sample AA, and get some not so shitty looking game of cs happening, but you cant cause you would only get 40nvidia frames a second.
You could also get 40fps in an nVidia and it will jerk and the Radeon's and Voodoo's will still be smooth at 25fps! Glad I didn't get that GeForce2 GTS and got the Voodoo5 5500 instead. My T&L engine is so much faster than it, lol.
T&L, on an nVidia card, hmm, i think they forgot about the whole damn T&L engine, its sooo sloow, and the detoncrappers only seem to slow down the T&L engine further.
and btw nVidia drivers a an abortion at the best of time. At least I dont have to install 10 differnt ones to find one that actually works
lol @ nVidia drivers. I had so many driver problems with my nVidia thing when I had it. The newer Detonator was supposed to improve performance by 50%, but it reduced performance buy 50%! My Voodoo drivers are off the CD and are perfect and fast.
Here is a real card

and here is an even better one [Blocked image]

Btw, its NOT nVidia. Just so u know

And people ask why dont you see nVidia products in REAL gaming consoles?
Cause they are unstable, run hot, and just plain crap. heres a Pic from inside the x-Box killer, the nintendo GameCube.

Hmmm, funny how its an ATI/NEC chip, and not nVidia!
lol, nVidia chips are NOT scaleable unlike 3dfx/Creative and ATi chips. That's why they are so much better.
Voodoo2 SLi
Voodoo3 SLi
Voodoo5 SLi
Voodoo6 SLi
Rage Fury MAXX
Radeon Charisma MAXX
Radeon CharismaII MAXX
the CHARISMA(R) engine allows us radeon owners to not only take advantage or superior models, but allows the application of SmoothVision Technology to enhance the polygon count (in hardware) with no frame hit, while improving the visual appeal 5000%
I still dont understand why people keep going back to nVidia, they must think that nVidia is cool, however thier products are pretty much featureless shite, for example the GeForce 4 does not even have version 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, or 1.5 pixel shaders, this makes its DirectX 8.1 support incomplete, ATI may not be the leader in performance, but they really dont have to be, you can run half the resolution, and still have 4 times the image quality with a quarter of the pixelation.

Bs Flam I disagree, wait a minute you haven't commented yet.
Yeah ppl keep telling me GeForce cards have high fps. They need them because they start jerking at 40fps! Limit your frames to 30 and if your card is smooth then its good. If not....well then you must have an nVidia.
Or this card, the best OpenGL performing card you could find on this planet at the current time. Funily enough, its not nVidia either.
