Okay peoples, for all those that are attending DGA #9 listen up.......... What do you prefer in regards to Wars at the Lans ???? The past few lans, as their has been only a few full clans turn up, we have been making clans up from a hat draw. Do you wish this format to continue or do you wish to play with your own clan. Our thoughts are that if enough full clans attend then we will go with established clans and maybe make up some with the residual people. Or to make it fair on everybody and to get everbody involved we will creat clans on the spot through a name draw.......PLease give us your thoughts. Secondly the following are the games we intend on playing. I f you want to add anything let us know......
CS 1.3 Standard Maps - for Official Wars. CS 1.3 Fun/Lan Maps - an addition to the wars. Return to Castle Wolfenstein FireArms DOD Quake 1/2/3 and Rocket Arena Red Faction Alien v Predator 2
The above will be the standard however if their is enough interest we could get into some. Warcraft Tribes SOF AOE

With reguards to CS wars. Well its been a long time since one has functioned properly @ a lan, getting past round 1 [Image: http://bbs.gamers.octa4.net.au/smile.gif] Anyway, I think people should get together members which they want to play with, and any extras if necessary. And all those not in a clan can be put together via Draw out of hat, or what ever. Its just, CS is (or should be) a team game, and if we're forced to play with players we've never played before, it looses that element somewhat. At best you'd just be running around the map as a group, but thats about it. My 2cents
Then there's the other point of view that these are general public lans, people WILL come who are not, or do not wish to be, in a clan, and do not wish to be subject to clan elitism at a lan.
I would prefer to play with my own clan... BUT what we could do is mix up the clans... Say DNC and TOB trade players or whatever... Would be interesting...

Since I'm a freelance 'clan'er I wouldn't really care... I like wars, there's a certain level of profesionalism in them... Something that can make a game very worthwhile. ^_^
I'd like to see Tribes 2 in there as well. I bought the bloody game for crying out loud! It's awesome, but everybody thinks it sucks... Give it a go, because I KNOW you haven't touched it before. ^_^
Well, since there are at least 3 full clans at each LAN anyway ([BM], DNC and TOB already registered enough players for full clan action), then I think it is only fair that these clans stick together... If anyone shows up who is not already in a clan then they can go into the hat draw, and if any clan rocks up without enough players, then they can get their extra players out of the hat draw, then whoever is left in the hat makes up another clan...
This makes sense to me, as everyone will still be able to KICK THE FUCKING CRAP OUT OF [BM] CLAN.....

oh yea, i am getting about 1.2 thousand dollars (gee that sounds big) in about a month, so i want a gf3, amd XPxx00+ and my asus board. and yes, i am going to go ahead and design my own case, it will include a watercooled 250watt audio amp, and with that same oversized radiator that KICKS YOUS.

Me votes for CS clan wars, with teams madeup by players that wish to play with one another [Blocked image] (<insert evil laugh here> [Blocked image] Also can we do it on the first day, not the 2nd when everyone is stuffed from lack of sleep, or have left [Blocked image]
If you want to have a clan war ( prac or Real ) ask me to setup a server for you .. thats no prob. there will be at least 5 CS Servers running with Admin Mod.
