I'm interested, how much would you consider a decent offer and how much would freight cost.
Would be very nice to have a laptop, but ATM I am saving for a new mobo and I must keep expenses to a minimum. $25?
Post 3
A few questions I just realised I should ask
What sound card/vid card/etc does it have. I will be installing Linux on it so I need to make sure none of the hardware will give me problems.
Post 4
I dont know what vid/sound card it has. It hasnt been used for games.
I am expecting to get around "000 according to what the trading post etc says.
I dont know what u mean by $25. If you where serious, sorry man, the answer is no.
I wouldnt sell u an atari 2600 for $25. But I would buy one if someone out there has one :)

Even saw a 200MMX desktop system for $900 dollars. Remember working out that a low-mid range athlon system could be built for that price.
The 233MHz K6-2 system onthe desk beside me has cost about $20 in parts.
Sometimes hard to predict what price range someone is looking at.
Post 6
but the fact that it is a laptop usually implies a higher price.
Post 7
But maybe a non-techie would pay that much, they expect any computer to be expensive.
I look at that and think "damn ebola, you're lucky silicon doesn't rust'. I somehow expect here is not the place to expect buyers at that price.
Although an Atari I could understand a high price for, they're old enough to be collectors items.

wtf? Eaglehawk? You using your old name again mate?
EDIT: Whoa, same minute, come online mate! Haven't talk to ya for ages.
Post 9
When the users were salvaged my name was reset to my login.
And ATM I can't come online, haven't gotten round to finding a decent Linux ICQ client and porting my addressbook over.
Post 10

We're getting off topic
Lets move our conversation here

Yeah right $25.
I'd be expecting at least $350 if you're generous.
Post 15
1k isn't totally unreasonable for a laptop, even of that vintage - mainly due to the value of the lcd display/size of the machine/etc.
Check the costing diference between a desktop machine and a laptop with the same hardware specs, its almost always a 1 to 2k price diference
Ebola, I wish i could afford it dude, I'd buy it in an instant..
Post 16
I'll start the bidding at $50 :D
