Post 8

yeah. first thing you should do is this:

edit->preferences->advanced->scripts and windows

and disable the 'open unrequested windows' thing

and anything else that shits you off.

Post 9

yep had already got in there. 1st thing I always do is jump into everything in every menu :) impressed so far.

modern skin looks even better I reckon so I now have it as my default browser and atm don't see myself going back will probably use it at work aswell now.

i have to admit that i will probably be a little resistant to the change at first but damn this is nice....

Another good browser is Opera, its supposed to be the fastest browser (but dont quote me on it as im only going on what ive heard not experienced).

I got it in about 25 seconds (its 11MB) and it runs on BeOS, Linux/Solaris, Mac, OS/2, QNX, Symbian OS + Windows

IE is damn evil and Netscape is just as evil in my books

Post 12

last time i flirted with opera, it was adware, not freeware. yuck. may have changed tho, it was a good browser. mozilla isn't netscape btw. two different beasts forked from the same source tree a few years ago

Post 13

Netscape is basically bloated with all sorts of AOL-added extras.

It's Mozilla at the core, but with alot of cr*p added. Plus most netscape versions lag behind a fair bit.

Although Netscape 7 will use Mozilla 1.0 (+ AOL cr*p, you can be sure)

Load times seem to be worse but that is only because windows precaches IE during startup. IE will take alot longer to load when it actually has to be fully loaded from the disk.

Post 14

I primarily use Opera 5.

Hate IE, and Nutscrape is a POS.

I think I will DL Mozilla and have a play for a while..

Post 15

I never said Netscape was Mozilla i just said that it was evil, and yeah i know it was based around Mozilla. Opera is still addware unless you register it, so basically its freeware :)

Post 16

munted outta my head atm :P

how do I get flash with mozilla only plugins I see are fro ie and nutscrape??

Post 17

netscape ones work

Post 18
