At this weekends lan and hopefully all future lans will be a new server for any game you want and file sharing.
The machine will have my mboard/cpu/ram/HD, but network card, video card (gf2mx) and case+psu will be donated from bits'n'bytes.
So next time you see bill say thanks ;)

I have a Win32 SOF 2 Dedicated server running.
it could be used for ANYTHING.... just in case nobody figured that out ;)

i have got the parts now, also a 52x cdrom was thrown in as well to the deal.
its got 512 meg of ram, so it will run any game known to manking, will also have a gf2 MX in it as well, so yea.
whatever Tn1 needs it for, it will do it.

But Im already bringing a fully dedicated Linux Server for the popular games.
CS 1.4 & SOF2.
Anyway it is always at DGA but no its not donated it comes with me but ppl can use if they like.
So for some true Server Power - Linux only way to Fly.
Any suggestions for what you want on it let me know and Ill set it up.
The more the better i say, more Servers i can play with :)

two servers run two different game servers better than one server runs both.
i'm sure any extra servers are appreciated by _all_ and that any belittling of peoples efforts is merely accidentally implied and not actually meant in that spirit. Thanks rainwulf AND raker and whoever else allows their machines to be used in such a manner.
well i just finished putting it together, and installed radmin on it...
had to install win2k with a 16x cdrom drive *fumes*
stupid bloody creative drives...
anyways, yea if its not needed, then i can just host stuff, its got about 30 gig free on it if anyone wants to move stuff to it, like latest Divxs or mp3s, or game images....
probably run q3ra or jailbreak or something if you wants.

Apparently Colin Linux runs quake3 at a higher speed then windows!
Yeah it does Reaps.
And tribes 2 runs better on it, and hell just about anything else too.

that is why i want to get INTO linux paladin, just not on my gaming machine.
It all works perfectly, and i am not going to fuck with it.
I guess my biggest worry is that half my games wont work....
i intend to play with linux on the BM serving machine one fine day... but for this weekend, its win2k ;)
i certainly wouldn't reccommend it as a gaming machine. yet. in fact the reason i have it installed on my work machine is mostly so i don't get tempted to play games ;). doesn't work tho, since there's a plethora of native games that are endlessly amusing.
I have just added Jedi Knight 2 - Outcast to the linux server of mine.
Im just upgrading my CS server to 1.5 so that should be cool for DGA.
If there is any other games that people want on it please ICQ me 123450827 and let me know.

i have just put Moh and q3 and q3ra on it.
i just dont know how to start console servers.
man YOU set it up, its got win2k and remote admin on it.
do what you have to, i am just bringing it along ;)
as for the games, do you start then with like game.exe -console
or something?
i will be at the lan early tomorrow, 11ish.
and much slaughterage didst ensue on various platforms, and within various arenas as the multitudes didst gather together for mutual jousting, warring and leeching :twisted: .
hopefully people will be interested in playing a variety of the awesome games you guys have lined up, much credit to you all, and let the mayhem begin 8)
