Not sure if this should be in the hardware section but oh well. Recently my computer has started putting extra reverb into whatever sound it makes. Reverb can be cool and all but not all the time in movies, music etc when it isn't needed. I've checked all my sound properties and audigy drivers and I can't find anything on reverb... What could it possibly be?

how old are your speakers and/or how loud do you push them? :P

Actually, they are quite a few years old, sometimes I put em 3 quarters the way up but that's as far as I go.

in that case, my guess would be that the cones may be lifting and/or tearing - if possible, open them up and look for signs of damage near the base of the cones

Same thing happens for me on the Audigy Ex, however always seems to just disappear after I've formatted.
Try re-installing your drivers etc. However I still haven't got a solution myself for it.
