I was thinking of purchasing a new sound system for my pc.....I was looking at the Altec Lansing ADA 885 and the Sound Blaster Extigy's....If there is n e other good ones out there could you please tell me..thnx 4 n e help

Personally I'd recommend the Audigy Ex, and the Audigy. Only if you have the room in your machine though. Otherwise that'd be the only reason to really get an extigy

i can't remember the exact details but the extigy is missing something like DTS support that the Audigy ex has...
can't remember, but besides that the speakers are good :)

I have the ATP4s http://www.alteclansing.com/product_details.asp?pID=ATP4&sID=1 and they totally rock! Bank for buck I think they are the best ..... unless you want to spend a real shitload of cash!

Santa cruz I got well basically what you want.
Altec Lansing ADA885
and an Audigy
totally kicks, while it might not be as bassy (not saying its not bassy either cos they are) as some others it does have power and clarity behind it. excellent for movies and music, could probably find better for games but it does the job better than most. Although I think your looking at what $600 - 700 or something for the lot, you do pay for what you get.
